Research On The Architectural Art Of Shandong Zhangqiu Ancestral Hall And Its Protection

As a significant type of Chinese ritual architecture,ancestral temples contain abundant and diverse cultural connotations such as architectural art,hierarchical concept,feudal ethics,clan system,geomantic omen and ancestor worship,which can be regarded as the artistic treasure of folk architecture and culture.As an important place for folk sacrifices and clan public activities,ancestral temples are momentous carriers of clan system and clan culture.They are the consummation of the whole patriarchal clan.Therefore,they are profoundly rooted in local construction technology,aesthetic standards,production methods and last folk customs,reflecting local humanistic thoughts,spiritual essence,ethical philosophy,aesthetic ideology and natural economy.However,with the continuous advancement of urbanization constructionand the powerful impact of modern culture,ancestral architecture and clan culture have been severely damaged,Zhangqiu ancestral temples are no exception,of the eighteen existing ancestral temples,only six are well preserved,related protection and research work is urgently needed.This dissertation takes the ancestral temple buildings in Zhangqiu,Shandong Province as the research object.On the basis of a large number of on-the-spot investigation and consulting relevant literature,the architectural art and protection of Zhangqiu ancestral temples are studied from the aspects of site selection and plane layout characteristics,elevation configuration and decorative artistry,protection and regenerative design.This thesis hackles the plane form,space layout,elevation shape and decorative artistic conception of Zhangqiu ancestral temple,hoping to make a modest contribution to the protection and regeneration design of Zhangqiu ancestral temple.The research content of this paper is divided into six chapters.Chapter 1: Prolegomenon.This chapter first introduces the reasons for choosing the topic,the purpose and significance of this academic research,discusses a series of academic research results on ancestral temples,summarizes and sorts out the research methods and research framework of the thesis.Chapter2: The historical cultural background and general situation of Zhangqiu ancestral temple.Relying on Zhangqiu's geographical environment,history and culture,the background of big immigrants in the early Ming Dynasty and the field investigation,this paper introduces the present situation,general situation and distribution characteristics of Zhangqiu ancestral temple with examples.Chapter 3: Location and plane layout characteristics of Zhangqiu ancestral temple.This chapter discusses the location and orientation of ancestral temples,the characteristics of plane layout and historical evolution,space composition and environmental construction.Chapter 4: The elevation shape and decorative artistic conception of Zhangqiu ancestral temple.This chapter focuses on the decorative theme,decorative techniques and profound cultural implications of Zhangqiuancestral temple.Chapter 5: The protection and regeneration design of Zhangqiu ancestral temple.This chapter first discusses the value of the ancestral temple of Zhangqiu and the realistic dilemma it faces.It also draws lessons from the experience of protection and utilization of ancestral temples in other areas of China and puts forward author's own views on the protection of the ancestral temple in Zhangqiu.Secondly,the regenerative design of Zhangqiu ancestral temple is discussed from the aspects of expanding and optimizing its function,increasing its main of operation,developing its tourism,perfecting its supporting system,creating a good landscape environment and improving its aesthetic conception.Chapter 6: Summary.On the basis of a large number of on-the-spot investigations and consulting relevant historical documents,this paper expounds in detail the architectural art characteristics of Zhangqiu ancestral Temple from various angles.In order to provide some reference for the theoretical study of the ancestral temple of Zhangqiu,and put forward author's own views on the protection and regenerative design of the ancestral temple.It is hoped that the ancestral temple of Zhangqiu can be well protected and utilized under the attention of all sectors of society,effectively improve its utilization rate under the modern socialist environment,and give full play to its unique historical value.
