Analysis Of Factors Affecting Flight Delay Rate

In recent years,the aviation industry has developed rapidly,and the problem of flight delays has become more and more serious,which not only affects the development of the aviation industry,but also causes great trouble to passengers.Based on67.16 million flight data of some domestic routes in 2017,this paper analyzes the influencing factors of flight delay rate and establishes a model to predict flight delays.The usual influencing factors for flight delays are weather,flow control,airlines,etc.In the era of data,these factors are implicit in the data information of flight delays.Through the analysis of the flight delay data,it is found that the factors affecting the flight delay rate are airline,time,season and flight schedule.Before the analysis of the influencing factors,the flight delay rate data is not obeyed by the normal distribution through the normality test.Therefore,the influence factor of the flight delay rate is selected by the Kruskal-Wallis method in the nonparametric difference test method.A differential analysis was performed to screen for significant differences in influencing factors.Then,since the flight delay is a two-category variable(delay,no delay),the Logistic regression model is established.After the model test,the independent variables are found to be significant,further verifying the reliability of the influencing factor analysis,and using this model Flight delays were predicted.
