Since the 1920 s,the severe shortage of water resource has received attention from the world.With rapid development of economy,improvement in people's living standard and increasing requirements on building area and garden green space in China,urban greening is now in full swing.But since water-saving garden design business has just appeared in China,enterprises will cope with more business risks except money collection problem.Therefore,under this background,this text will provide case,suggestions and theory for reference with small and medium landscape design enterprises with regard to water-saving landscape design.Taking the company M-grass Beijing innovation center where author has worked for before as the research object,this text will explore the actual development of watersaving garden design business,analyze its development space in the future based on economics and strategic management theories and have a further knowledge of M-Grass Beijing Innovation Center's disadvantage on single management structure and advantage how it relies on parent company's help and its own utilize differentiated competitive strategy.Besides,the text has set up an overall guideline for development planning of saving-water garden design industry in the future,and established pertinent strategy for business competition such as diversification strategy,human source strategy and differentiation strategy.In general,this text recommends that innovation center make full use of its advantage,strengthen business innovation ability,start differentiated competitive strategy,carry out pertinent diversification strategy and form alliance by using force model of Porter,BCG matrix analysis and integrating VRIO into it based on competitive strategic change theory and relative methods and measurements.
