After the opening of the long-span steel bridge,the steel plate and the pavement layer shared the extermal effects of bridge deck and the driving load.There are many differences on the interface between steel plate and asphalt mixture,such as the properties of strength,the stiffness and the temperature shrinkage,Which lead to the stress concentration and shear failure.In this paper,in order to explore the stress and damage characteristics for interface,the mechanical properties for interface between steel bridge deck and epoxy asphalt pavement were studied by using the SCIS direct shear test device which can simulate the pressure-shear stress state of steel bridge deck interface.Firstly,the quasi-static shear test for interface between the steel deck and the epoxy asphalt pavement was designed.The shear-slip mechanism of the interface between steel bridge deck and epoxy asphalt pavement was analyzed through the experimental.The related parameters for interface between steel deck and epoxy asphalt were calculated,such as the shear strength,the shear modulus and the shear-slip energy.The shear strength envelope with pavement interface between steel deck and epoxy asphalt mixture was presented based on Mohr-Coulomb strength theory.Secondly,the dynamic shear test of interface between the steel deck and the epoxy asphalt pavement was designed to explore the dynamic shear modulus and phase angle of the interface between steel deck and epoxy asphalt at different loading frequency and test te1perature.Master cirves for interface between the steel bridge deck and the epoxy asphalt pavement were constructed based on time-temperature equivalence principle.The results show that the dynamic shear modulus and phase angle for interface have laziness to both temperature and frequency.The master curves of dynamic modulus for interface are different at different temperatures.The maximum value and minimum value of the dynamic shear modulus for interface are same,which provide an important structural parameters for the design and analysis of steel bridge deck pavement structure.Lastly,the cohesive model was used to simulate the interface between the steel deck and the asphalt pavement.The finite element model with steel plate-the adhesive layer-epoxy asphalt mixture was established.The law of mechanical variation and stress distribution of pavement interface was analyzed and compared to the test data.The results showed that the characteristics of the interface stress and defonnation can be simulated effectively by using the rational mechanical model and material parameters.
