With the rapid development of China's economy, the pollution of water resources has become a noticeable problem, and continues to maintain the advantages of life and public health in the world. The types of wastewater are diversified, among which the amount of pharmaceutical wastewater accounts for a large part.As the most typical analgesic drug,Phenacetin?PNT?contains PNT wastewater in the aquatic environment, seriously affecting the aquatic environment and human health. Therefore, the development of powerful technologies to remove PNT from water over the past few decades has attracted worldwide attention, such as flocculation, filtration, adsorption, biological contact oxidation and advanced oxidation processes?AOPs?.As one of the advanced oxidation processes?AOPs?,electrofenton technology can produce reactive oxygen species?ROS?,such as hydroxyl radicals?·OH?,and superoxide radicals, hydrogen peroxide H2O2.It has been regarded by researchers as a more environmentally friendly, more efficient, better removal rate, and more worthy of promotion of industrial water treatment technology. Therefore, electrocatalysis is a promising technology because it can achieve one-step removal of PNT by using electricity. In this paper,Phenacetin simulated wastewater with a concentration of 50mg/L was used as the treatment wastewater, and the degradation of the wastewater was studied by electrocatalytic oxidation experiment using Electric-Fenton reactor. The graphite electrode was used as the anode and the self-made PEG modified palladium/nickel foam material was used as the cathode electrode. The morphology, chemical structure and electrocatalytic activity of the PEG modified electrode were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy?SEM?,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy?XPS?automatic physical and chemical adsorption?BET?,X-ray diffraction?XRD?,and cyclic voltammetry?CV?.The simulated Phenacetin wastewater was degraded by modified electrode. The mechanism of electrochemical oxidation was analyzed, and the degradation process of PNT was analyzed. Results showed that the precursor concentration and surfactant concentration when the mole ratio of 1:3 through electric heavy effusion, palladium catalyst is completely cover the surface of nickel foam substrate, presents the rough surface with the surrounding has deep groove structure of spherical particles, palladium catalyst under PEG modification,palladium?111?surface has a high degree of orientation. When the current density=2.5m A/cm2,[Fe2+]=0.1mmol·l-1,p H=3,and[Na2SO4]=0.1M,the maximum concentration of H2O2 was 6.91mg·l-1.The modified electrode has higher DMPO-OH corresponding current than the unmodified electrode, and produces more hydroxyl radicals?·OH?.After 120min electrocatalytic treatment, the removal rate of PNT reached 81.2%.The E-Fenton degradation of Phenacetin was in accordance with the first-order degradation kinetics, and the kinetic constant was 0.0493.It was verified that the electrode could significantly improve the degradation efficiency of Phenacetin, increase the yield of H2O2 and·OH,and shorten the reaction time.
