Research On The Relationship Between Green Culture And Environmental Performance Of Enterprises In Heavy Pollution Industries

In recent years,issues such as environmental pollution,resource depletion and climatic anomalies due to economic development have attracted the attention of countries around the world.Socio-economic development should also take into account environmental protection.The enterprise is the basic unit of economic society,it bears the environmental responsibility of environmental governance and maintaining ecological balance.Corporate culture is a combination of internal corporate values,habits,and codes of conduct that can have a fundamental impact on corporate behavior.As a kind of psychological contract,the corporate green culture is embedded in the development of the company,and it will also affect the decision and behavior of the company.This paper intends to study the relationship between green culture and corporate environmental performance,and further explore whether the relationship between corporate green culture and environmental performance will be different if the operating conditions of the company change.In order to study the above problems,this article selects the Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies in the heavily polluting industry from 2014 to 2018 as samples for empirical research.This paper constructs an environmental performance score sheet to measure the environmental performance of the company,determines relevant variables and performs regression analysis.The research finds that:(1)enterprise green culture can improve the environmental performance;(2)Enterprise green culture of well-managed companies can significantly improve environmental performance.In addition,this paper uses a multiple regression model and a logistics model to test the robustness of the variables of green culture and environmental performance,respectively.It also proposes that(1)Enterprise level: strengthen the penetration of green culture within the organization,institutionalizing corporate green culture,practicing corporate green culture,formulating correct business policies and strategies(2)Government level: promote excellent traditional ecological culture,strengthen ecological publicity and education mechanisms,improve and implement laws on environmental management;The research enriches the theoretical literature of corporate management and environmental performance,and provides empirical evidence for the measurement of environmental performance and the improvement of environmental performance.
