In recent years,graphene based functional materials have been continuously developed.In the field of textile,due to the transformation of people’s consumption concept and the rising demand for consumption,graphene and its derivatives as functional materials have been promoted to study and develop functional textiles.In the preparation of flame-retardant textiles,graphene and its derivatives have been proved to be effective in improving the flame-retardant properties and thermal stability of textiles,so they are increasingly widespread in the field of textiles.In this study,graphene oxide,graphene and flame retardant were used as functional reagents,fabrics were treated by dip-pad-dry method and brush coating method using functional reagents.The excellent properties of the functional reagents can be added to fabrics,then the modified fabric can show excellent properties obtained from graphene.The conductivity,thermal conductivity and flame retardancy of graphene functional textiles were tested.The research work includes the following contents:Firstly,preparation and properties of flame retardant polyester/cotton fabric modified by graphene oxide.Graphene oxide utilized in this study was prepared by our lab using modified Hummers’method.Polyester/cotton fabric was treated by dip-pad-dry method using graphene oxide,followed by a thin film formed on surface of fabric.Then the flame retardant was arranged on the surface of the fabric in the same way to obtain the graphene modified flame retardant fabric.The modified fabric had good flame-retardant performance,self-extinguishing of fabric can be realized in the vertical combustion test,and the duration of combustion was 0 s,the damage length was reduced from 14.6 cm to2.5 cm after modification.The modified polyester/cotton fabric can be used in the production of wearable flame-retardant textiles and decorative flame-retardant textiles,etc.Secondly,preparation and properties of flame retardant polyester/cotton fabric modified by graphene.Graphene oxide was utilized to modified polyester/cotton fabric by dip-pad-dry method,and then the fabric was reduced by water bath,so that graphene can adhere to the surface of fabric and a thin and continuous film formed by reduced graphene oxide on surface of fibers in this step.After that,flame retardant and adhesive were uniformly attached to the surface of the fabric to prepare the graphene modified flame retardancy fabric.The modified fabric had good electrical conductivity,its surface resistance lowed to 0.546 KΩ/sq,the limit oxygen index value reached 32,the vertical combustion test can achieve self extinguishing,the damage length was only 3.3 cm,the residue content corresponding to 800 ℃ reaches 31%,the fabric showed good flame resistance and thermal stability.Owing to the good conductivity and flame-retardant performance,the modified fabric can be used in the preparation of intelligent wearable devices.Thirdly,the preparation and properties of single-side heat conductive and flame retardancy fabric modified by graphene.The brush coating method was taken to brush graphene oxide on front side of the fabric,then the graphene oxide can adhere the surface of fabric without penetrating the reverse side.After that the fabric was reduced by water bath and finished by adhesive,and finally the single-sided heat conductive and flame retardancy fabric was obtained.The properties of the modified fabrics were tested.After reduction treatment,the fibers on the surface of the fabric were continuously wrapped by graphene film.The existence of graphene film improved the thermal conductivity and UV resistance of the fabric.The thermal conductivity reached 0.12 W/mK while the cool sense at the moment of touch was 281.The modified fabric had excellent UV protection performance,and the UPF of modified fabric was higher than 500.However,under the joint action of adhesive and graphene,the initial decomposition temperature of the fabric was slightly advanced,while the residue content increases by 3.3%at 800 ℃,indicating that the thermal stability of the fabric was improved.The mechanical strength of the modified fabric changed little,and the elongation at break increased.In general,the graphene modified single-side heat conductive and flame retardancy fabric had excellent performance and can be used in the manufacture of electric welding protective clothing fabric. |
