Cotton knitted fabric is favored by consumers because of its good moisture and permeability,warmth,extensibility,softness and comfort.Cotton knitting products play an important role in knitting products.However,cotton knitted fabrics,especially cotton weft flat knitted fabrics,tend to produce "dead folds" which are not easy to be eliminated in dyeing and finishing.These folds were caused by fabric texture irregularity,which results in a large decline in the rate of finished products and affects the normal sales of the products.In view of the problem of cotton weft flat knitted fabric crease-resistant,many printing and dyeing enterprises adopt flipping cloth,adding deconvolution agent,pretreatment by air flow dyeing machine,after finishing,adding softener,cold pressing pile dyeing,and so on.Although the above methods have certain effect on fold elimination,the effect is not ideal,and it needs to consume a lot of manpower,energy and chemical reagents,resulting in a lot of waste and environmental pollution.At the same time,the relevant mechanism of the existing crease-resistant method is not clear,so it is urgent to find out the mechanism of cotton weft flat knitted fabric,and to find out more scientific,economical and practical methods of unfolding.The purpose of this paper is to clarify the basic situation of crease-resistant of cotton weft flat knitted fabric,to study the factors affecting the fold formation of cotton weft flat knitted fabric,and to clarify the formation and prevention mechanism of cotton weft flat knitted fabric fold.The significance of this paper is to improve the flatness of cotton weft knitted fabric,to improve the success rate of cotton weft flat knitted fabric,to reduce the cost of production and processing,and to provide technical and theoretical support for improving cotton weft flat knitted fabric surface flatness,and reducing the cost of production and processing of cotton weft flat knitted fabric.In this paper,firstly,the shrinkage rate of a kind of cotton weft flat knitted fabric was studied.By comparing and analyzing the factors affecting the shrinkage rate of cotton weft flat knitted fabric,it was found that the concentration of sodium hydroxide solution was the main factor affecting the shrinkage of cotton weft flat knitted fabric.Sodium hydroxide solution could make cotton fiber swelling quickly.The temperature,time and concentration of the solution had influences on the shrinkage rate and degree of the fabric.In order to test the fabric,YG701N full automatic shrinkage tester and the domestic washing and drying procedure of the national standard GB/T 8629-2017 were used to test the fabric.Verified that the fabric treated in the experiment has reached full relaxation.The experimental results showed that the stress and deformation of the fabric could be completely eliminated when the fabric was treated with sodium hydroxide 50 g/L and the solution at 85? for 20 min.Secondly,the causes of dead pleats in cotton weft flat knitted fabric were analyzed and verified.Through the verification of the production of dead pleats and the combination of appropriate experimental conditions to achieve the purpose of preventing the generation of dead pleats.The experimental results showed that when the cotton weft flat knitted fabric was treated directly under the uneven external force,the crease would occur.Under the same condition,the knitted fabric was subject to full relaxation treatment in advance to eliminate stress,which could effectively prevent the occurrence of crease.Finally,the type of fabric was expanded.Under the condition of controlling coil length,there were cotton weft flat knitted fabrics with 29.2tex yarn,14.6tex yarn and 14.6tex/2 yarn.The yarn fineness was controlled to 14.6tex,and there were three kinds of cotton weft flat knitted fabric with coil length.According to the experimental conditions obtained in the previous part of the article,the shrinkage of yarn fineness and coil length to the fabric were compared separately.The experimental results showed that the fineness of the yarn and the length of the coil influenced the degree of the fabric crease by the tight density:if the compactness is small,then the degree of the crease is light.And if the compactness is large,then the degree of the crease is heavy.
