Industry has maintained a rapid development trend for hundreds of years since its emergence, and with the development of industry, the damage to the earth 's water environment has become increasingly serious.Pollutants such as heavy metals, antibiotics, and organic dyes have entered the ecological environment with the discharge of wastewater from various industries. In order to treat sewage, people have studied different methods of water purification through various angles of physics, chemistry, and biology, such as membrane separation, chemical coagulation, electrolysis, and activated sludge. As a simple and low-cost method, the adsorption method is widely used in all walks of life.Activated carbon as a traditional carbon material has been used in the water treatment industry for a long time, and graphene oxide as a new carbon material has received more and more attention in water treatment applications because of its unique physical and chemical properties. In the process of water treatment, the effective collection of the two adsorbents is a problem to be solved. In this paper, two composite aerogels, peach gum / activated carbon(PGAC)and peach gum / graphene oxide(PGGO),were prepared by compounding method, and methylene blue(MB)was used as a pollutant to study the adsorption behavior. The hydrolyzed peach gum was prepared by alkaline hydrolysis.Graphene oxide was prepared by improved Hummers method, and analyzed by scanning electron microscope, infrared spectrometer and other methods.PGAC and PGGO composite aerogels were prepared by compounding and freeze-drying methods.Different characterization methods have proven a well compound between materials. The method of controlling variables was used to analyze and study the influence of different factors on the adsorption behavior of PGAC and PGGO.The study of adsorption isotherms shows that both Langmuir and Freundlich models can better explain the adsorption behavior of the two composite aerogels. The maximum adsorption capacity of PGAC and PGGO fitted by Langmuir model were 279.98 mg/g and 360.99 mg/g,respectively.Thermodynamic studies indicate that the adsorption of MB to PGAC is endothermic and PGGO is exothermic. The adsorption of the two aerogels conforms to the Pseudo-second-order model.Experiments show that the two composite aerogels can be quickly removed from water after water treatment.
