Intermetallic compounds have broad application prospects in the field of aerospace due to their characteristics of high specific strength,high elastic modulus,high oxidat-ion resistance,good corrosion resistance and low density.Due to the intrinsic brittlen-ess and environmental brittleness of intermetallic compounds,their plasticity and toug-hness at room temperature are low,which seriously limits the further application of i-ntermetallic compounds.Metal-intermetallic compound lamination composites combine the advantages of me-tals and intermetallic compounds and have a broad application prospect.With the dev-elopment of technology,more and more researchers focus on the study of ultra-thin 1-aminated composites.In this paper,the ultra-thin Ti/TiA13 lamination composites are prepared by the process of explosive weld-annealing treatment.In this paper,the weldability window of Ti/Al multilayer composite plate is calcula-ted,and the upper boundary of the weldability window is ?=2arcsin(607324.2/Vc2),the lower boundary is ?=13.4/Vc the left boundary is Vc=265.007m/s,and the right boud-ary is Vc<5220m/s.Based on the results,the weldability window of Ti/Al multilayer composite plate was constructed.The explosive welding process of Ti/Al/Ti/Al/Ti was studied and analyzed by nume-rical simulation.The numerical simulation results of Ti/Al/Ti/Al/Ti explosive welding s-how that there are obvious waveform and jets phenomena at Ti/Al bonding interface.The impact point of the collision point between the substrate and the cladding plate is the peak area of its plastic deformation and pressure.The peak pressure can reach 3×104Mpa,which is much higher than the yield strength of Ti and Al.At the interface,there is a long and narrow local high temperature belt.The peak temperature on the titanium side reaches 2200K and the peak temperature on the aluminum side reaches 1400K,both of which are higher than the melting point of the two materials.The nu-merical simulation results provide a theoretical basis for the plastic bonding of the Ti/A1 bonding interface during the explosion welding processBased on the guidance of Ti/Al/Ti/Al/Ti explosive welding process and its numerical simulation results,the Ti/Al/Ti multi-layer composite plate was successfully prepared by the explosion welding primary formation method.The bonding interface of Ti/Al/Ti/Al/Ti explosive welded composite plate was observed and analyzed by SEM and EDS It can be found that the bonding interface presents obvious waveform interface,and there is metallurgical bonding at Ti/Al bonding interface.The phenomenon of workh-ardening exists at the interface of explosive welding.The results of the explosion wel-ding test provide the experimental basis for the explosion welding process of multilay-er plateTi/Al3 laminated composites were successfully prepared by annealing the Ti/Al/Ti/Al/Ti explosive welded composite plates at 640? for 50h heat preservation.Annealing t-reatment can effectively eliminate the residual stress caused by explosive welding pro-cess and improve the interface performance.Due to the existence of TiAl3 intermetall-ic compound layer,it retains high hardness and has better overall performance.The r-esults of annealing test provide relevant experimental basis and reference for the prep-aration of Ti/TiAl3 laminated composites.
