With the depletion of petroleum-based resources, cellulose,as the most abundant natural polymer material in nature, was expected by more and more people to replace petroleum-based resources one day. However, the application of cellulose has been still relatively limited in fibers and membranes. The traditional fiber and film production process were still dominated by the viscose method, with the serious pollution problems and the development of the cellulose industry limiting. If the problem of polluting the environment could be solved from the source, the cellulose industry would be a huge development. The cellulose carbamate(CC)method was such a green and new cellulose process, which would maximize the use of existing viscose production equipment and production lines and greatly reduce cost of transformation. And it is one of the most popular research in cellulose. In this work, cellulose carbamates(CC)were successfully prepared by liquid-solid phase in the high-boiling aprotic and polar solvent(DMAc),using wood pulps and urea as raw materials.Regenerated cellulose fibers were successfully spun from cellulose carbamate in a NaOH aqueous solution by wet spinning on a conventional viscose filament device. The properties of products were characterized by Fourier infrared spectrometer(FTIR),X-ray diffractometer(XRD),Nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer(NMR),Thermal gravimetric analysis(TG)and Scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It was showed that CC solution as a typical non-Newtonian fluid by rheological test and excellent spinnability by structural viscosity index.Among them,CC fibers demonstrated a typical cellulose ? crystal structure and a good thermal stability. The CC fibers had excellent moisture absorption performance.Although the mechanical properties were not as good as viscose fiber, the analysis by FTIR and NMR showed that the regeneration of CC fibers were not fully regenerated,so that there was still room for improvement in mechanical properties.CC fibers were mostly round in cross section and dense in structure, which was significantly different from viscose fibers which had a serrated structure. The appearance of gloss and texture corresponding to the micro structure wrer also very different between CC fibers and viscose fibers.CC fibers were brighter and softer, close to the texture and luster of silk. The antibacterial property test of CC regenerated antibacterial film showed that the CC/ZnO regenerated film prepared by adding ZnO had antibacterial properties, and it was further proved by FTIR which ZnO was indeed present on the CC/ZnO regenerated film. The antibacterial performance and retention performance experiments not only provided new ideas for the application of CC regeneration membranes, and also the theoretical and experimental basis for CC regeneration antimicrobial fibers.
