In this paper,6-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid and chiral lactic acid were used as raw materials to synthesize a pair of chiral aromatic dicarboxylic acid ligand:?R?-6-?1-carboxyethoxy?-2-naphthoic acid??R?-H2cna?and?S?-6-?1-carboxyethoxy?-2-naphthoic acid??S?-H2cna?.18 chiral coordination polymers?CCPs?were constructed by utilizing the above ligands with transition metals and rare earth metals,formulated as[Co?R-cna?2]n?CCP-1?,[Co?S-Hcna?2]n?CCP-2?,[Cd?R-cna?]n?CCP-3?,[Ln?R-cna?3]n{Ln=La,Eu}?CCP-4,11?,[Ln?S-cna?3]n{Ln=La}?CCP-5?,[Ln?R-cna?3H2O]n{Ln=Ce,Pr,Ho,Er}?CCP-6,8,15,17?and[Ln?S-cna?3H2O]n{Ln=Ce,Pr,Sm,Eu,Gd,Tb,Ho,Er}?CCP-7,9,10,12,13,14,16,18??Single crystal X-ray analysis found that 18 CCPs with three different structures crystallized in the chiral space group.CCPs 1-2 are a pair of enantiomers,crystallized in the monoclinic crystal system and P21 space group,exhibting 3D network structures with 3,6-connected and a point symbol of?4·62?2(42·610·83).CCP-3 shows a two-dimensional layered structure consisting of?R?-H2cna and Cd?II?ions.It belongs to the monoclinic system,P21 space group and exhibits a 5-connected network with a point symbol of?47·63?.CCPs 4-18 are all constructed from rare earth metals with the above ligand?R/S?-H2cna.CCPs 4-18 are isomorphic,which shows 2D layered structure with 4,4,6,6-c and a point symbol of{410·65}{45·6}3{48·66·8}.In addition,CCPs were further characterized by elemental analysis,infrared spectroscopy,powder X-ray diffraction,thermal stability analysis and circular dichroism.Due to these CCPs are crystallized in noncentrosymmetric chiral space group,their second-harmonic generation were investigated.Nitro compound identification and metal cation recognition were carried out using transition metal CCPs 1-3,and the degradation properties of methylene blue of CCPs 1-3 also were discussed.In addition,enatioselectivity recognition of CCP-2 toward D/L-4-nitrophenylalanine was discussed.
