Research On The Sustainable Design Of New Chinese Furniture Based On FAHP

Sustainable design is the inevitable trend of industry development in the future,and its theme includes two aspects of cultural sustainability and ecological sustainability.Simultaneously,the Neo-Chinese style furniture,which inherits the form of the Chinese classical art and aesthetic taste,reflects the unique philosophical thinking and spiritual temperament of the Chinese people.It is a new style of furniture that has been favored by consumers in recent years.However,at present,the Neo-Chinese style furniture is not mature from concept,theory to practice.At the same time,the style of furniture products design on the market is chaos.Many of the products just copy the style of Chinese traditional furniture or piece together Chinese elements and symbols stiffly.It fails to achieve the benign inheritance and innovation of traditional culture.On the other hand,the development of the furniture industry in China is relying mainly on the extensive mode of economic growth,which neglects the impact on the ecological environment.On this account,this thesis is going to carry out comprehensive research on the Sustainable design of the Neo-Chinese style furniture from the cultural perspective and the ecological perspective.First of all,this thesis defines the concept and connotation of the Neo-Chinese style furniture based on a comparison and distinction of "Chinese style","Chinoiserie" and " the Neo-Chinese style".Meanwhile,referring to the content category of Chinese traditional furniture,this thesis puts forward the main content category and typical objects of the Neo-Chinese style fumiture,which are sorted according to function,by means of analysing the Neo-Chinese style fumiture cases on the market.Secondly,based on the product lifecycle analysis and taking the whole life cycle of the products as the clue,this thesis carries out a comprehensive analysis of the influencing factors of each stage in the life cycle of the Neo-Chinese style furniture from the two aspects of cultural perspective and ecological perspective with the help of Fishbone Diagram.What's more,it puts forward the optimization ideas and design principles of the Neo-Chinese style furniture in each stage separately.Then,a FAHP sustainable comprehensive evaluation model of the Neo-Chinese style furniture is established based on the theoretical results of life cycle analysis.And this thesis evaluates the degree of importance of each index from the index system in the evaluation model,which is taken as a theoretical reference for the design practice.Finally,based on the previous theoretical results,this thesis carries out the design practice and gives a design scheme of the Neo-Chinese style furniture.Furthermore,the FAHP sustainable comprehensive evaluation model is used to evaluate the design scheme,and some suggestions for improvement are given.It is a simple example of the application of the evaluation model.The research field of sustainable design has been broadened to the cultural field,and the value of the "immaterial " cultural elements is increasingly prominent in products.Cultural Sustainability and Ecological Sustainability will be the two themes of design activities in the future.The innovation of this thesis lies in getting the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(FAHP)introduced into the research of the Neo-Chinese style furniture,and transforming the perceptual cultural connotations into the rational design elements.By means of such an analytic method of Operations research,the cultural elements and ecological elements of the Neo-Chinese style furniture are unified and quantified.Furthermore,this thesis establishes a referential FAHP comprehensive evaluation model,which provides a theoretical reference and decision support for the sustainable design of the Neo-Chinese style furniture.
