The starting point of this paper is the application of unconventional materials in modern Chinese furniture design..The concept of unconventional materials and modern Chinese furniture is defined and analyzed in the article.Furthermore,according to the practical project of this article,the research and exploration of modern Chinese furniture design is put forward by Tianjin vocational university and meike furniture company.Then in the unconventional materials in the modern Chinese furniture design case analysis.The influence of unconventional materials used in the design of modern Chinese furniture is also put forward.Then discussed a variety of unconventional furniture in the use of modern Chinese style shows the characteristics and performance effects.Finally,the paper analyzes the content of the students' teaching in the course,combining the actual research and the author.It is reasonable to apply unconventional materials to modern Chinese furniture design under the premise of modern culture aesthetic.The paper applies the use of non traditional materials to the actual furniture design,and reasonably displays the Chinese element symbol in the design.The design and research not only put forward new contents and possibilities for the design of modern Chinese furniture,but also conform to the basic requirements of ecological design and contribute to sustainable development.It is not only realistic in design,but also conducive to economic development and environmental protection.During the whole design process,the author focused on the design of Chinese culture in the sense of painting and visual feeling,not only reasonable to use it in the design.More traditional materials will be the characteristics of the show in the screen.Thus unconventional materials in the use of modern Chinese furniture theory elements to apply to the actual.It is hoped that more and better design can be directed to students in future teaching and learning.
