Waveguide Magic T is an important passive device in microwave / millimeter wave system and plays an important role in the whole communication field.This paper focuses on the miniaturization,planarization and full frequency band of millimeter wave waveguide magic T,overcoming the defects of the traditional waveguide magic T such as large three-dimensional volume,complex deployment components and difficult assembly.At the same time,the designed structure has good performance characteristics and compact structure and can be integrally processed and formed.In this paper,five full-band quasi-planar waveguide magic T are designed.The complex deployment elements are removed,the structure is geometrically symmetrical and the amplitude and phase of the two output ports are in good agreement.The Ka band H-plane " cross" magic T improves the performance of the ports through step matching and adopts a single ridge waveguide to effectively broaden the frequency band.The reflection coefficient of each port is better than-20 dB and the isolation between the two output ports is better than 19 dB which is suitable for power splitters.The Ka-band E-plane " cross" magic T has good port performance,compact structure and can be used for power divider,sum and difference device and so on.The Ka-band E-plane " towel" magic T has good port performance and is suitable for two back-to-back power distribution/synthesis networks.The reflection coefficient of each port of the V-band E-plane " cross" magic T is better than-19 dB and the isolation between the two output ports is better than 20 dB.The structure is compact and is favorable for processing.The V-band H-plane " towel" magic T has good port performance,high isolation between the two output ports and good application in high isolation power divider.And four kinds of four-channel power distribution/synthesis networks are designed using some magic T basic units.Finally,processing tests are carried out on Ka-band H-plane,E-plane " cross" waveguide magic T and V-band E-plane " cross" power distribution/synthesis network and the test results are compared with the simulation results.The Ka-band and V-band active power amplifier chips are processed and tested in back-to-back structure.
