This thesis was developed in the framework of a project financed by the “Enrico Fermi” Center in Rome, with the purpose to analyze several clay finds kept at the Lilibeo Regional Archaeological Museum in Marsala(Sicily)and discovered in the neighboring Archaeological Park. The aim was to better understand the internal structure of the clay finds and their manufacturing technique. In this sense it has been fundamental to resort to the use of X-ray Computed Tomography(CT),a technique that is non-invasive and effective in investigating the internal structure of the objects examined. In order to avoid the transfer of the fragile clay finds, the CT analysis was carried out on-site in June 2019,with a mobile equipment developed by researchers of the Physics and Astronomy Department of Bologna University. The tomographic reconstruction and 3D rendering of the twenty-six scanned objects was performed later in Bologna. The results obtained will help the curators of the museum to better determine the conservation state of the objects and preserve these clay finds in good condition.
