Gamma ray bursts are the most violent phenomena after the big bang.The study of different kinds of gamma ray bursts not only helps us better understand its physical origin,explosion mechanism,radiation mechanism and other basic problems in the universe.It can also help us to better study the radiation of gravitational waves,extremely high-energy cosmic rays,the origin and evolution of the universe and other issues.Kouleiotou et al.analyzed the gamma ray bursts data of CGRO / BATSE and found that according to the duration(T90),the gamma ray bursts can be divided into long bursts(T90 > 2s)and short bursts(T90 < 2s).With the use of more space satellites and the increase of the number of gamma ray bursts,the standard of T90 classification is facing more and more challenges.On the one hand,there is a serious controversy about several kinds of GRBs from T90 distribution alone.Either the two kinds of GRBs overlap seriously at the boundary T90 = 2s,or some satellites detect other types of signs,especially the GRBs with extended emission will complicate the classification.On the other hand,recent studies show that different types of GRBs obey different spectral energy relations.It can be seen that the classification of gamma ray bursts has important scientific value.This dissertation will carry out in-depth analysis on this subject.The main structure of this paper is as follows:In the first chapter,we summarize the research progress of gamma ray bursts,mainly including the observation equipment,observation characteristics and theoretical models.In the second chapter,we introduce the large sample statistical test of some spectral energy relations of gamma ray bursts and the research on the classification standards of gamma ray bursts.In the third chapter,we introduce in detail our research on the spectral energy relations of gamma ray bursts with extended emission and their influence on the classification of gamma ray bursts.Through this study,we found that there are two types of gamma ray bursts with extended emission,and they satisfy different spectral energy relations.
