The changes of intestinal flora on a large part of reflect the efficacy of probiotic and its preparations, therefore it is a very feasible approach by monitoring changes in gut flora to reflect the effect of probiotic and its preparations.Intestinal flora as a measure of the standard of probiotic has also been widespread concern in recent years. This papers studies how to prepare the higher survival rate of Lactobacillus paracasei HD 1.7 microcapsules and to test its quality. The optimum conditions of L.paracasei HD 1.7 microcapsules was gavaged at mice with ulcerative colitis,.In order to understand the effects of L.paracasei HD 1.7 as the functional health foods, the mice were observed and monitor its part intestinal flora changes, which provide an important basis for the further market development. After the results analysis of the single factor and orthogonal test, when the wall material gum arabic and maltodextrin ratio of 1:10,the optimum conditions for the spray drying process conclude inlet temperature 115 ?,the content of skimmed milk powder 4%,feed rate 6.5mL/min,the content of fructose 0.8%,formed under these conditions microcapsules cell survival rate was 48.37%,ie 1.51×1010cfu/g.The survival rates of L.paracasei HD1.7 microcapsules in simulated gastric and intestinal environment for 2h were 40.9%and 86.77%,which better tolerated compared with bare bacteria.Microcapsules still have 9.91×109cfu/g from simulated gastric 1h to intestinal 2h.L.paracasei HD 1.7 microcapsules under the optimum conditions of spraying drying and bare L.paracasei HD1.7,empty microcapsules and saline were administered to BALB/C mice with DSS-induced ulcerative colitis, the results showed that:L.paracasei bacilli HD1.7 can reduce the number of E.coli which is one of the dominant flora of mice with ulcerative colitis, increase the number of Lacticacid bacteria, competitive inhibition the number of Enterococcus feces, reduce Bacteroides growth to achieve prebiotic effect which laid the foundation for its development as a functional health products market.
