Business quarter is the most basic independent business unit of YG Life Insurance Company.It bears the direct responsibility of execution of company decrees,business promotion,customer service and risk management.It is also the direct creator of business income and value of life insurance company.The team of business quarter managers is the backbone and cornerstone of our company and even the whole life insurance industry.It is also the main strategic reserve resources for the future leaders of the life insurance company.Therefore,define the competency model of business quarter managers is not only a realistic requirement for the construction of grass-roots management team of life insurance companies,but also an objective need for the sustainable development in the future.This paper focuses on the core issue of competency of YG Life Insurance Company's business quarter manager--The construction and application of competency model.Firstly,this paper systematically introduces the relevant theories and research results of competency and competency model,including the basic definition of competency,research results of competency models at home and abroad,etc.Then,according to Spencer's competency model construction theory and method,we gradually construct the competency model of YG Life Insurance Company's business quarter manager.That is,the first step to determine performance indicators;the second step to select interview samples based on performance indicators;the third step to collect information through job-related information research and behavioral event interviews.The fourth step is to analyze the interview text and get the preliminary competency model.The fifth step is to verify the competency model and then to determine the post competency model through expert discussion and adjustment.Finally,this paper introduces the application of business quarter manager's competency model in YG life insurance company,especially the recruitment and selection of job candidates and the training and development of on-the-job personnel.
