Study On The Development Of Small And Medium-sized Freight Forwarding Companies Under The Belt And Road Initiative

After the subprime mortgage crisis in the United States in 2008 and the European debt crisis in the aftermath,China's trade growth rate continued to slow down,which had a very large impact on the international freight forwarding industry.Under the new national strategy of the Belt and Road,China's freight forwarding companies are facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges.How to reposition and seek out and develop the company's core competitiveness has become an important issue for China's small and medium-sized freight forwarding companies.This article uses the literature research method,the case analysis method,and the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods.Based on the summary of relevant domestic and foreign research status and related theories overview,this article take ST international freight forwarding company as an example to study the current situation and problems of small and medium-sized international freight forwarding companies,using PEST analysis and multiple linear regression methods to make in-depth quantitative analysis of the external and internal environment affecting the development of ST international freight forwarding company.The study concluded that the annual sales revenue of ST international freight forwarding company is mainly affected by the proportion of containers transported through CHINA RAILWAY Express to the total transport volume,the number of human resources and the marketing investment costs,and increases with the increase of them.Among them,the number of containers transported through CHINA RAILWAY Express has a great impact on the sales revenue of company.ST international freight forwarding company should actively participate in the business of CHINA RAILWAY Express,and open up more customers to use the transportation methods of CHINA RAILWAY Express to improve this business.Finally,this article discusses the development strategy and development proposal of ST international freight forwarding company,and provides reference for the long-term development of small and medium-sized freight forwarding companies.
