With the coming of information and digitalization era,knowledge popularization,development and application have gradually become the core of economic growth,Therefore,enterprises are turning the focus of competition into knowledge acquisition and knowledge sharing capability.Although obtaining external knowledge and information is very important,the process inevitably has high costs and expenses.Therefore,enterprises urgently need to effectively manage their internal resources and build long-term competitive advantages.Knowledge sharing is the key link in the internal knowledge management of the organization,which has become the focus of the enterprises and even the whole industry.More and more enterprises are adopting the based-project organization forms,especially in the context of cooperation and competition in China,making knowledge sharing in cross-functional context more challenging.Based on the literature research of knowledge sharing within organizations,a coopetition model was developed and tested to examine that cross-functional coopetition is a key antecedent of knowledge sharing.At the same time,organization coordination mechanism should be defined to verify the implications of formal(organizational formalization)and informal(organizational connectedness)coordination mechanisms,in order to achieve effective knowledge sharing.Accordingly,this research follows the logic design of "cross-functional coopetition—organization connectedness—knowledge sharing",on the basis of social capital and social embeddedness theory,to explore the mechanism of action of cross-functional coopetition on knowledge sharing,the mediate effect of organization connectedness,as well as the moderate effect of organization formalization on the relationship between cross-functional coopetition and knowledge sharing.Through literature reading and interview surveys,combined with current social status,the research points and research contents of this paper are proposed.Field surveys and network distribution were used to collect survey questionnaires on the effects of cross-functional coopetition on knowledge sharing,and based on certain screening criteria,the invalid questionnaires were identified and removed,and finally 268 valid samples were obtained,and the statistical software SPSS22.0 and Amosl8.0 were used for data quality assessment,regression analysis,Bootstrap mediation test and post-hoc analysis.The results show that:(1)Cross-functional cooperation ability and cross-functional cooperation intensity have positive effects on knowledge sharing,while cross-functional competition has a significant negative effect on knowledge sharing;(2)The cross-functional coopetition of cross-functional cooperation ability and competition has insignificate effect on knowledge sharing,while the cross-functional coopetition of cross-functional cooperation intensity and competition has positive effect on knowledge sharing;(3)Organization connectedness has no mediating role in the impact of cross-functional coopetitibn of cross-functional cooperation ability and competition on knowledge sharing,but it has a complete mediating role in the impact of cross-functional coopetition of cross-functional cooperation intensity and competition on knowledge sharing;(4)Organization formalization has insignificate moderating effect on the relationship between the cross-functional coopetition of cross-functional cooperation ability and competition and knowledge sharing,while has significate negetive moderating effect on the relationship between the cross-functional coopetition of cross-functional cooperation intensity and competition and knowledge sharing;(5)Cluster analysis shows that strong cooperation and weak competition within the organization is more conducive to knowledge sharing.This research not only expands the limited literature on cross-functional coopetition and contributes to the current debate on internal competition constraints or the promotion of knowledge sharing,also further enriches and deepens the research results of organizational connectedness and organizational formalization,which have guiding significances for improving the level of knowledge sharing in the organization.
