| Commercial banks are of great importance for Chinese finance,being a part of Chinese financial system.Liquidity,as one of the three most significant features of commercial banks,acts a balancing lever between profitability and safety.Thanks to the developing environment,nowadays Chinese commercial banks change a lot in their business pattern.Also,Chinese commercial banks' liquidity risk management became much harder because of financial disintermediation,internet finance and the greater effect of regulation.As a result,relevant researches need to be conducted immediately.This paper adopts document analysis and empirical analysis methods to analyze the whole system.The author picks 77 Chinese commercial banks as the sample,looking into their panel data from 2006 to 2015.The sample consists of 5 state-owned banks,11 joint-equity banks,45 local community banks and 16 foreign-funded banks.These banks' NSFR would be calculated,combining with the latest BCBS(2014).The research applies the System-GMM model,takes long-term or short-term liquidity risks into consideration,and digs out the relevant factors that would influence the risks.The result shows that interbank business has a significant positive correlation with the longterm liquidity risk while the correlation with short-term liquidity risk is noteworthily negative.In addition,the investigation also reveals that capital adequacy ratio is highly negative correlated with the liquidity risk but the bad loan ratio and the scale of loan behave conversely.At the end of this article,some countermeasures and advices about liquidity risk management would be posted from the angle of commercial bank. |
