Research On The Integration Risk Of M&A Of Midea Purchasing KUKA

With the increasingly frequent global economic activities,overseas M&A has become an important way for international enterprises to achieve their internationalization strategy.More and more enterprises are joining the wave of cross-border M&A,and Chinese enterprises,as important players in the global economy,are no exception.However,the development of cross-border mergers and acquisitions so far,the success rate of global M&A is still not high,Chinese enterprises involved in overseas M&A is only 30% of the successful.The research finds that there are many reasons for the failure of overseas M&A,and the lack of integrated risk control is one of the important factors.Based on the previous research results,this thesis takes the Midea M&A KUKA as the case object,and conducts in-depth research on the integration risks faced by Chinese companies' overseas M&A.The dissertation first reviews the domestic and foreign scholars' research status on cross-border M&A and M&A integration risk,and then briefly summarizes the basic situation of Midea and KUKA.Finally,after a relatively comprehensive identification of the risks of Midea in the process of integrating KUKA,the AHP is introduced to quantify the risks and corresponding countermeasures are put forward.The study finds that the political risks,economic risks and social risks are relatively low in the integration risks of Midea M&A of KUKA.In terms of micro-level integration risks,the risks of strategic integration and human resources integration are relatively low.At the micro level,the risk of integration of financial relations,risk of management and technology integration,and the risk of corporate culture integration are higher.In response to these problems,this thesis puts forward three countermeasures: promoting financial integration,strengthening internal management and building humanistic culture.
