At present,with the rapid development of global economy and frequent trade and communication between countries,the port logistics and container transport industry is developing rapidly.So the port logistics industry is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges.The volume of modern container terminals is increasing and container throughput is increasing.The capacity of many ports is too short to meet the increasing demand.With the introduction of trucks appointment system,it can alleviate various problems arising in the process of collecting containers.This can reduce the traffic congestion,shorten the queuing time and enhance the efficiency of collection.At the same time,it can also reduce the emission of polluting gases and ease air pollution so as to achieve energy conservation.This paper takes the A container terminal as the research object.Through the sorting and statistics of the terminal operation data,this paper puts forward the new problems facing the reservation collection port.Then,analysis of the A container terminal gate current operation situation,points out the advantages of the gate operation and the problems to be solved,and summarizes several key factors influencing the gate operation efficiency.This paper established A Container Terminal gate queuing system model based on general queuing network model.The impact of truck appointment system to the gate efficiency is explored.The average waiting time of trucks is compared before and after using truck appointment system,from the results can be obtained using the tracks appointment system can effectively improve the gate operation efficiency.According to the optimal length of stay,the gate service level is divided into excellent,good and general three grades,determine the minimum number of different service classes corresponding gate open,provide a reference for the gate of the production.Finally,provide some suggestions to improve the operation efficiency of container terminal gate A.
