As the economy develops,the living standards improve,and the transportation becomes more convenient,tourism has also been rising quickly.Factors such as the increasing number of tourists and the regional economical development promote the room-booking rate of the hotels and so even the budget hotels have been dragged into the fierce competition.The average budget hotels have not been able to meet the demand of consumers due to their simple products and service,but the theme hotels have appealed to the general public due to the unique design ideas,which has been followed for better change by many other hotels.Therefore,hotel design should cater to the mentality of consumers and focuses on the comfort enjoyed by customers and the high quality enjoyment of the space that is brought about by customization,with the propose of meeting the fierce market challengesThis study has five sections.The first section deals with the social and cultural background of the theme hotels,the relevant research of them,and the research purpose and significance.It also introduces the research design and methods.The second section interprets the psychological needs of customers for the hotel space and identifies the main factors that change their psychological needs for the room space,which prepares for the study on custom-made room space in the following sections.The third section analyzes the plasticity of the room space and the population in need of custom-made service for the purpose of offering custom-made service based on their demand and the changeable space.The forth section proposes that the thematic representation should be combined with the modern social conditions and presents a detailed introduction of the relationship between the theme design of hotel room space and the social conditions,which serves as a detailed guideline for design practice.The last section sums up the design methods,introduces their use in design practice,and then gives comments on it. |
