Since the reform and opening up,with the rapid development of China's economy, the contradiction between urban and rural dual economic structure has become increasingly prominent, the gap between rich and poor gradually widened, which seriously affect China's social stability and economic development. In addition, agriculture as the basis of national economy is the key to China's modernization drive,in order to highlight the important position of agriculture, the central one document for fourteen years to "three rural" as the theme..Against this backdrop, changing the relatively backward rural economy is an urgent need to maintain rapid economic growth.Rural Commercial Bank is the main force of the "three rural",which is an important product of the reform of the rural credit cooperatives and an important part of the rural financial market. It is very important to promote the rural economic development. Therefore, researching on the rural commercial banks is fully rational and necessary. This paper mainly studies the Total Factor Productivity(TFP)and its influencing factors of rural commercial banks,so as to provide the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the sustained and healthy development, and to achieve the goal of accelerating rural capital flow and promoting rural economic development. This paper first draws out the necessity of this study by analyzing the importance of rural commercial banks and the practicality of TFP,then summarizes the research results at home and abroad.Secondly,it defines the related concepts of rural commercial banks and TFP,and constructs the theoretical basis of this paper.Thirdly, the TFP of China's rural commercial banks is quantitatively measured based on the GML productivity index, and the results are analyzed in detail from the three aspects of population, region and individual. The results show that:First, from the whole, the TFP of the sample banks has shown an increasing trend in the dual effect of technological efficiency and technological progress during the study period.Second, from the sub-regional view, according to the value of TFP order followed by the western region, the eastern region, the central region. After 2015,the total productivity of rural commercial banks in different regions showed a trend of convergence.Thirdly, from the individual point of view, the TFP of rural commercial banks is growing at half, and half is declining.Among them, the total factor productivity of Wuxi Rural Commercial Bank is the highest, and Chizhou Jiuhua Rural Commercial Bank is the worst. The purpose of this paper is to provide the corresponding countermeasures for the improvement of the total factor productivity of rural commercial banks. Therefore,we use the least squares estimation based on the measured results and use the self-sampling standard deviation to calculate the total factor productivity of rural commercial banks The results show that the GDP and the money supply have a significantly positive impact on the TFP,and the CPI and total investment in fixed assets has no significant effect on the TFP.At the same time, the empirical results based on GMM show that the asset size,non-performing loan ratio and loan-to-deposit ratio are negatively correlated with the total factor productivity of the rural commercial banks. And the innovation capacity was negatively correlated with the total factor productivity. Finally, according to the relevant empirical results, this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions from the five aspects:enhancing the ability to cope with macroeconomic changes, rationally controlling the scale of assets, effectively strengthening risk management, strengthening the ability of resource allocation and accelerating financial innovation.
