Research On Influencing Factors Of Construction Workers' Intentional Unsafe Behavior

As an immediate cause of accidents,construction worker's unsafe behavior is common on construction sites,which results in construction industry with a high accident rate.There is therefore an urgent need for actions to minimize construction worker's unsafe behaviors to improve safety situation of construction industry.However,current researches fail to reveal mechanism of construction worker's unsafe behaviors,and fewer safety measures could be used to minimize construction worker's unsafe behaviors.Thus,a cognitive perspective was adopted to explore mechanism of construction worker's unsafe behaviors,identify causes of construction worker's unsafe behaviors,and relying on a project to develop control measures for intentional unsafe behavior.The efforts and outcomes include:(1)According to the root cause of unsafe behavior,construction worker's unsafe behavior was divided into two categories:intentional unsafe behavior and unintentional unsafe behavior,and briefly describe their meanings and reasons.(2)The famous theory of planned behavior in behavioral psychology,the influence mechanism of the past behavior,the hypothesis of the influence of the safety atmosphere on the behavior intention and social cognitive theory were adopted to explore the mechanism of construction worker's intentional unsafe behavior;Based on the mechanism,effective factors and reason of worker's unsafe behavior was identified and an effective factors model of intentional unsafe behavior was developed.(3)A questionnaire survey method was used to verify the theoretical model proposed in this study.According to the method of questionnaire survey,a questionnaire survey plan for this study was developed and a questionnaire for influencing factors of construction worker's intentional unsafe behavior was designed.SPSS20.0 statistical software was used for data analysis to validate the model proposed in this paper.The main influencing factors of construction worker's intentional unsafe behavior were risk perception,convenience perception,pressure on managers,pressure on workers,judgment on knowledge and ability,external conditions,past behavior,and safety atmosphere.It was at 74.6%that the explanatory power of the model to worker's intentional unsafe behavior reached through questionnaire survey and regression analysis.(4)Starting from the above eight influencing factors,relying on a project,proposed effective control measures to control construction worker's unsafe behavior.after evaluating these countermeasures,evaluate the effect received,in order to fundamentally correct the unsafe behavior of construction workers.
