Theoretical Interpretation And Empirical Research On The Intergenerational Transmission Of Poverty In Rural Area Under The Credit Ration Threshold

Poverty has always been an important subject for scholars at home and abroad.In terms of the present situation of rural China,the real problem of rural poverty in China is still severe,and the problem of intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural China is an important reason for the continuation and recurrence of rural poverty in China.So far,the research on intergenerational transmission of poverty is still in infancy,and it is also an attempt to explain and empirically examine the intergenerational transmission of rural China under the credit ration threshold.This paper will be based on the data between 1990 to 2013 in the CHNS database.Then it will investigate the problem of the intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural China by chosing the corresponding index system and combining quantitative and qualitative analysis method.First of all,the paper analyzes the mechanism of credit rationing on the intergenerational transmission of poverty,and the analysis results show that: As an important element of economic factors,redit ration is closely related to the income of rural residents.And from microscopic mechanism or from the point of its macroeconomic performance,credit rationing is an important factor on intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural China.Then,the paper analyzes the current situation of poverty generation in rural China,and the analysis results show that:(1)There is significant intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural China.(2)The phenomenon of absolute poverty intergenerational transmission is more serious.(3)Relative poverty intergenerational transmission has significant improvements.(4)The phenomenon of absolute poverty intergenerational transmission is more severe than that of relative poverty.Finally,according to the survey data in the CHNS database,this paper chose important factors on intergenerational income transfer like credit rationing,then this paper have an empirical study on the transmission of poverty in rural China by using model method.And the empirical results show that:(1)Credit rationing is negatively correlated with children's income.It shows that Credit rationing is one of the important channels of intergenerational income transmission and the reduction of credit ration has a positive effect on easing and curbing the intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural China.(2)Education and occupation types of children and the urbanization level are also important factors of the intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural China.Therefore,the government should formulate relevant policies to ease and curb the intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural China.Reducing credit ration,adding the education input,providing non-farm employment opportunities and accelerating the urbanization process.These methods can effectively ease and curb the poverty the problem of the intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural areas of china.
