Health is the basis for people to carry out all economic activities.Research on health human capital is an important part of modern human capital theory..For a long time,Chinese and foreign scholars have shown that health investment can promote economic growth to different degrees. It's a question worth exploring that to which extent export,as an indispensable part of the macro-economy,can be affected by health investment. With the rapid development of society, the level of health investment in China has greatly increased, presenting new features such as increased investment scale, changes in investment structure, unbalanced regional health capital stock, etc. On the other hand,in the vigorous development of export trade,it also shows new features such as improved export product structure and reduced regional contribution. Thus many literatures conclude that there is a linear, positive correlation between health investment and economic development. This article aims to study the influence of health investment on export trade.By analyzing the mechanism of health investment, this article proposes that reasonable and appropriate health investment can positively affect export trade from the aspects of increasing labor supply, improving the health and quality of workers, promoting the development of health industry and related service industries, and strengthening results of education and training. At the same time,it will also suppress the export as a result of the ageing population structure and the crowding out effect of other physical capital. Then a theoretical model will be established on the basis of the theory of endogenous growth. In the process of research on this issue, there is still no unified standard for measuring health capital stock or the level of health investment. Therefore, this article will examine the impact of health investment on exports separately, instead of integrating export into outputs, and use the improved exponential power function to build health investment development index to measure China's health investment level over the years. In the empirical analysis part, this paper puts forward the view that health investment may have a non-linear impact on export, and divides the health investment into two categories, medical health investment and environmental health investment, then analyzes and validates them with smooth transition regression model. The results of the study indicate that there is indeed a non-linear relationship between health investment and export trade, and that the nonlinear model contains more comprehensive information than the linear model. On the one hand, medical health investment has a more obvious negative effect on export, and the results of the non-linear model show that when the growth rate of medical health investment exceeds a certain point, every 1%increase will reduce export by 0.896%.On the other hand, environmental health investment has a positive effect on export. When the transition variable exceeds the threshold, there will be a shift from linear to nonlinear, with strong non-linear effects. Finally, after summarizing the results of analysis,we propose some policy advice such as optimizing the structure of health investment, narrowing the gap between regional health investment and health human capital, and strengthening ecological civilization construction, with a view to providing reference for the improvement of China's health investment level and export situation.
