Research On The Influence Factors Of China And Asean's Manufacturing Cooperation Under The Global Value Chain

After the global financial crisis,the recovery of manufacturing industry is weak in all countries,especially the developing countries are constrained by the"low and locking" in the manufacturing value chain.The urgent need to get out of this dilemma is placed in a more critical position of national development.China and the five ASEAN countries(Singapore,Malaysia,Thailand,Indonesia,Vietnam,hereinafter referred to as the Singapore,Malaysia and Thailand,Indonesia,Vietnam)are the new force in today's global manufacturing industry,their deep cooperation in manufacturing contributes to the establishment of a more comprehensive and sustainable regional value chain,so as to achieve the goal of improving the strength of the manufacturing industry.There are lots of researches on international industrial cooperation and the global value chain of the literature and the results,but there are few empirical studies on the analysis of the factors of cooperation in manufacturing industry from the perspective of value chain,and it is impossible to analyze the influencing factors by effective methods.Taking the global value chain(GVC)as the breakthrough point,this paper which is based on the theoretical research analyzes the development of manufacturing industry in China and ASEAN,and the realistic demand for manufacturing cooperation under the current global economic environment.The factors influencing the cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in manufacturing industry are demonstrated.Finally,according to the empirical research results,we analyze the mechanism of the influencing factors and propose policy recommendations for China to develop manufacturing cooperation with five ASEAN countries and also point out the problems that need further study in the future.The main innovation of this paper is to establish the cooperation effect index.First,find out what can represent the common interests of China and the ASEAN countries,and the common interests are the basis of cooperation.Therefore,the intra industry trade index is selected.Second,we find out what can represent potential profitability in the case of cooperation in the manufacturing industry,thus the efficiency of the manufacturing industry is selected.Finally,based on the above two indicators,the new dependent variable on the cooperation of the representative manufacturing industry is established.
