Research On The Establishment And Application Of Credit Risk Assessment System For HD Leasing Company

Although the domestic financial leasing industry has been developing for 20 years,the credit risk management in financing business is still primitive.Generally,the unreasonable risk assessment methods and deficient control means have seriously hinder the development of domestic financial leasing industry.Many financial leasing companies have gone through great loss due to the error on credit risk assessment.Hence,to establish scientific credit risk assessment system with further managing and control the project risk is the matter of top priority in the risk management of domestic financial leasing companies.Based on the current credit risk assessment methods,this study aims to put forward a new credit risk assessment system targeted at industrial enterprise customers for HD company,and then apply the system to company's leasing project credit risk assessment.Firstly,the relevant concepts of Finance leases and the main theoretical methods of customer credit assessment are presented.Secondly,the current situations and problems of credit risk assessment of HD leasing company are introduced and analyzed,respectively,which are followed by setting forth the necessity for the company to establish a new evaluation system.Thirdly,for the total clue framework of internal rating method,a qualitative and quantitative customer credit evaluation index system and evaluation criteria are proposed.Meanwhile,the weights of indexes are determined by using the order relationship method.Finally,the new credit risk assessment system was applied with taking the credit process of an industrial enterprise customer as a case study.The credit risk of the customer was reasonably assessed.Also,the corresponding conclusions are given.The research results of this study can provide reference of credit risk assessment method for other financial leasing companies.
