Evolution Mechanism Of Lifting Equipment Industry Cluster In Changyuan

Since the reform and opening up,China's economic activities have shown a clear spatial agglomeration.The emergence of industrial clusters with different levels of development in many provinces and cities have made outstanding contributions to the development of China's regional economy.However,with the advancement of economic globalization,the clusters' development in recent years is facing the challenges of transformation and upgrading.Researchers in Western countries paid much attention at theoretical discussions and the introduction of new concepts and ignored the difference in social background between China and Western countries,which restricted the theoretical development of China's industrial cluster evolution research.In addition,domestic research has focused more on the evolution of outward-oriented industrial clusters in the coastal areas,while the development and evolution in inland areas still need improvement.This paper take the case of lifting equipment industry cluster in Changyuan County,Henan Province as example,analyzing its cluster evolution mechanisms,constructing the framework of “multi-factors and multi-mechanism collective effect”.Through the research methods of in-depth interviews with companies and relevant government departments,the evolutionary process and influencing factors of the clusters are analyzed,and the cluster evolution mechanism is discussed in depth.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)According to the major events in the development of clusters and the empirical knowledge of local governments,the evolution of Changshu lifting equipment industry clusters can be divided into three stages: embryonic stage,formation and growth stage,and transformation and upgrading stage: the embryonic stage,the formation and growth stages,and the transformation and upgrading stage.Each stage shows different characteristics at different levels: micro-enterprise,medium-term view,network relation,macro-technical,institutional,and spatial layout.The evolution process presents "Scattered family small workshop--the modern enterprise of geographical agglomeration--the spatial change of modern industrial cluster",Small workshop production--factory management--Modern enterprise management "business model change," simple processing and manufacturing products-imitation innovation-independent research and development design,independent brand building--set a number of industries in the domestic leading or international leading technology "development trajectory changes and characteristics."(2)The evolution of the lifting equipment industry cluster in Changyuan is a process of multiple factors and multiple mechanisms interact and co-evolution.The accidental events,government policies,social marketing team and enterprise derivatives,market demand and cyclic accumulation,and technology-related diversity the evolution of the lifting equipment industry cluster in Changyuan is a multi-factor and multi-mechanism interaction and co-evolution process.The accidental events with the government policies,social marketing team and enterprise derivatives,market demand and cyclic accumulation,and technology-related diversity and industrial branch,cooperative relations networks,local buzz and global channels,leading companies' technological innovation and technological spillover play different but synergistic roles in different stages of cluster development.First,in the embryonic stage of the cluster,accidental events,specific geographical culture and entrepreneurship are the main factors for the growth and proliferation of long-distance lifting industries.Second,in the formation and growth stages,local government,specialized marketing team,and market demand are important factors for the development and growth of the cluster.Local government is the most important factor driving the evolution of the cluster,throughout the entire process of cluster growth are the key forces for cluster formation.The specialized marketing team has become the main form of enterprise derivation through the advantages of customer resources and the accumulation of funds in the previous period.The number of enterprises in the cluster has increased continuously,and the scale of the industry has expanded rapidly.This has laid a quantitative foundation for the growth of the cluster.At the same time,a large number of customers' information grasped by the salesman,promoting the technological innovation and product innovation of an enterprise,which is an important driving force for the evolution of the cluster.The development of domestic economic construction has brought huge consumer markets to the lifting industry.The accession to the WTO in the new century has opened the door to the international market.The huge demand for dual markets has stimulated the expansion of enterprises and industries to form the internal economies of scale and scope of enterprises.The advantages of economy and industry's external scale economy promote the improvement of production efficiency of enterprises and industries.Under the role of the cyclical accumulation mechanism,the number and size of the lifting machinery market and the enterprises reinforce each other,which promotes the growing scale of the cluster industry.Thirdly,in the transformation and upgrading stage,government policies and technological innovation are the driving forces in promoting cluster upgrading.They promote the transformation and upgrading of clusters under the coordinated evolution mechanism of systems and technologies.Industrial branch and the establishment of a domestic and foreign technological innovation cooperation network are the main ways to promote cluster upgrading.Thirdly,in the phase of cluster transformation and upgrade,the leading company represented by Weihua Group is the leading force in promoting cluster upgrades.The establishment of industrial forks and domestic and international technological innovation cooperation network is the main way to promote cluster upgrade.The innovation of this research mainly has three aspects.Firstly,it enriches the main body research of Enterprise's derivative function.Taking the local industrial cluster of China's inland area as study case,we found that in addition to universities and research institutes,corporate management personnel,and technical personnel,social marketing teams are also an important source of corporate derivation.They are promoting the rapid increase in the number of enterprises in the cluster and the size of the cluster.The important factor for expansion.Secondly,the evolution of economic geography industry branch theory is applied to the cluster transformation and upgrading research.The research has paid attention to the inter-industry related diversification factors of traditional industrial cluster to promote the transformation and upgrading of the clusters through the industrial bifurcation mechanism,and to integrate the regional industrial branch theory of the evolutionary economic geography into the cluster transformation and upgrading research for the regional industries(clusters).Third,attention is paid to the important role of leading companies that have grown up in the process of cluster transformation and upgrading.Through technology innovation and the construction of internal cooperation networks and external connections,they have become the leading force for cluster transformation and upgrading.
