Study On The Technology Spillover Effect Of Foreign Direct Investment On The Equipment Manufacturing Industry In Chongqing

The key for a country to maintain its economic growth is whether there is enough technology support.The core of technological support is technological innovation and technology transfer.How to integrate advanced technology achievements at home and abroad and improve their technological innovation ability is a very important problem.For a long time,the strategy of utilizing foreign capital and the increasing scale of technology introduction have played an important role in obtaining advanced foreign technology and promoting technological progress and economic activity of domestic enterprises.It has accelerated the pace of technological progress of Chinese enterprises,shortened the technical gap with developed countries,and improved the quality of domestic products.Quantity and grade.With the deepening of economic globalization,FDI has become an important channel for many developing countries to acquire international capital and advanced technology.The progress of a country's technology is not only from the local technology research and development,but also the result of the transfer and diffusion of foreign technology in the channel.Many empirical studies show that the inflow of the industry has indeed produced a kind of external economic effect that the traditional model can not explain to the host country,that is,the effect of technology overflow.The equipment manufacturing industry is a heavy load of the country,constitutes the driving force for the survival and development of the country,and becomes the key activity to win the core competitiveness of a country.How to scientifically and effectively obtain the necessary foreign direct investment and give play to the technology spillover effect is not only a topic of concern for the equipment manufacturing enterprises,but also one of the starting points of the macro economic policy of the management authorities.Chongqing is an important city in Western China.It is also a typical heavy industry city in China.There are many equipment manufacturing enterprises in it.After the first half of the year,manufacturing enterprisesincluding equipment manufacturing industry were strongly supported by the state.In the new period,the equipment manufacturing industry in Chongqing has developed continuously under the concept of "going out" and "introducing".The scale of foreign direct investment in various sub industries is expanding continuously,and the growth momentum is good.Therefore,the equipment manufacturing industry not only occupies an important position in all industries in Chongqing,but also the key industry of foreign direct investment to Chongqing,and the investment scale of foreign investors is increasing year by year,but the influence of foreign direct investment on the technological progress of the above industry is rarely studied."Technology spillover" is an involuntary form of technology transfer,which refers to the progress of local technology or productivity by the establishment of a subsidiary of a multinational company in the host country,while its subsidiaries are unable to obtain all the benefits.The FDI technology spillover effect refers to the knowledge,technology and management experience contained in foreign direct investment,which spread to the host country through various non market channels and promote local technological progress and productivity growth,while the investment subject can not obtain the unaware technological diffusion of all income in the case of involuntary investment effect.Through the technology spillover effect,the technical level,organizational efficiency and management skills of the host country can be improved in a certain period,and the economic growth of the host country can be promoted.The main way of FDI technology spillover is competition and technology demonstration,connection and cooperation effect,and three kinds of human capital.This paper focuses on the research on the technology spillover of Chongqing equipment manufacturing industry by foreign direct investment.It enriches the literature of technology spillover effect from the perspective of industry particularity and object typicality,and can supplement the previous literature based on industry and regional uniqueness,and helps to promote the utilization of the equipment manufacturing industry in Chongqing and even in China.The capital efficiency and enhance the level of technology,to provide empirical experience and feasible countermeasures for its healthy development,is committed to innovation.The full text uses the literature research method,the statistical description method,the empirical research method and so on.Taking Chongqing as the research object,this paper analyzes and analyzes the three ways of the competition and technology demonstration,the relation and cooperation effect and the human capital in the technology spillover of foreign directinvestment.The result of the spillover effect is beneficial to make the enterprises fully absorb foreign investment,promote the technological progress and integration and upgrade of the industry,and provide theoretical support and reference for the realization of "China made 2025" strategic goal.The following conclusions can be drawn from this study:(1)FDI plays an important role in the technology spillover of Chongqing's equipment manufacturing industry.Based on the status analysis and empirical test,this paper finds that foreign direct investment has a positive spillover effect on the equipment manufacturing industry in Chongqing,which provides reliable evidence for local equipment manufacturing enterprises to improve their technical level by learning advanced technology.(2)the method and index of measurement of technology spillovers in the manufacturing industry are clearly defined.In this paper,the VAR model is constructed.Through the stability test,the stability test of VAR model and the Grainger causality test,it is found that the spillover effect of foreign direct investment on the technology spillover of Chongqing equipment manufacturing industry is existing,and the foreign direct investment has a significant positive relationship with the technology spillover of the equipment manufacturing industry in Chongqing.In terms of robustness testing,the degree of local economic openness,the level of local infrastructure construction,the technical gap between the home country and the investment land are tested as the control variables,the group inspection of the seven sub industries of the equipment manufacturing industry,the classification of the technology intensive,labor intensive and capital intensive types according to the characteristics of the sub industry are divided.Group test,the results were basically the same.(3)through the inspection of the influence mechanism of the technology spillover of Chongqing equipment manufacturing industry through foreign direct investment,the competition and the technology demonstration,the relation and cooperation effect and the foreign direct investment of human capital in Chongqing equipment manufacturing industry play an important channel role in the technology spillover,which is in accordance with the previous research conclusions of many industries.(4)according to the current situation of foreign direct investment and technical level of the equipment manufacturing industry in Chongqing and the results of empirical test,the policy suggestions are put forward to improve the FDI Effect of the technology spillover of the equipment manufacturing industry in Chongqing,namely,to expand the scale of foreign direct investment,to improve the independent innovation ability of the enterprises and to change the way of increasing the investment.In order to improve the level of humancapital and so on,specific measures have been made to create a good environment for foreign investors,strengthen the confidence of foreign investment,take measures to induce foreign direct investment technology spillovers,increase capital investment,rationally deploy R & D funds,strengthen the digestion and absorption of technology,accelerate the introduction of large scale and high level large projects and guide foreign investment enterprises.It will take part in the reform of state-owned enterprises,optimize the structure of foreign investment,improve the incentive mechanism for attracting talents,and increase investment in educational funds.
