Abstract/Summary:
At present,China's economic development has entered a new normal economy. The optimization and upgrading of industrial structure requires that migrant workers strengthen their skills training and improve their personal knowledge structure and labor skills. Therefore,it is necessary to increase human capital investment in migrant workers. At the same time, under the new normal economy, the development model of money-centered market economy has shifted to the development model of the socialist market economy centered on the well-being of the people. The sense of well-being has begun to be more widely discussed around the world.Research on subjective well-being has spanned multiple subject areas and the research target has also penetrated into various groups.Migrant workers as an important social group and their subjective well-being should be valued.Based on the research of domestic and foreign, this study analyzes the relationship among the migrant workers' capital investment, migrant workers' wage income and subjective well-being.And then build a theoretical model and put forward the research hypothesis:The migrant worker's capital investment has a significant impact on their subjective well-being;the migrant worker's wage income has an intermediary role in the relationship between migrant worker's capital investment and their subjective well-being.Based on research hypotheses, the questionnaire was designed to investigate the status quo of capital investment and subjective well-being of migrant workers, and in view of statistical analysis of survey data, verify that education, training, health, and migration have influence on migrant worker's subjective well-being through mediator variables—wage income of migrant workers. The research results show that education, training, and health have a significant positive impact on migrant workers' wage income, while migration has no significant effect on migrant workers' wage income;education, training, and health have a significant positive impact on migrant workers' subjective well-being.Migration has a significant negative impact on migrant workers' subjective well-being;migrant workers' wage income has Partial mediating effects on relations between education/training/health/migration and migrant workers' subjective well-being.So it verified the hypothesis that the migrant worker's capital investment has a significant impact on their subjective well-being;the migrant worker's wage income has an intermediary role in the relationship between migrant worker's capital investment and their subjective well-being.We can use this research results to find some ways to improve migrant workers' capital investment to increase their subjective well-being.This study expands the scope of research on the capital investment of migrant workers, improves the quality of life of migrant workers, and provides guidance for scholars to study related research.
