The Impact Of Human Capital On Export Technical Sophistication

At present,our country is in a critical period of adjusting industrial structure.Strengthening the construction of export trade is significant for our country to promote export structure and keep the long-term stable economic growth.And the human capital is the important drive and source of global economic development.In this paper,studying the impact of human capital on export technical sophistication is practically significant.The purpose of this paper is to research the human capital impact on export commodities in China,especially in the high-tech industry.First of all,study and analyze the human capital and export technical sophistication theory deeply,and then analyze its influence mechanism.Secondly,broaden the Hausmann method to calculate the export technical sophistication of high-tech industry and its five subdivision industries with the export data of high-tech industry from 27 provinces.Meanwhile,measure human capital level of 27 provinces in China from 2005 to 2014 with the improved education index method.Moreover,this paper constructs a fixed effects regression model to study the impact of human capital which is a major variable and other control variables to export technical sophistication,in which the results show that the human capital promotes the export technical sophistication in province data.At the same time,it also verifies the number of R&D personnel and the fixed investment of research and development can promote the export technical sophistication.Due to the unbalance among provinces in the nation's economic development and education level,using Ward clustering analysis method to cluster after the regression analysis,which finds the classification results are not the same as the regional economic development degree in most provinces,some classifications even include provinces from northern,central and western China.Therefore,the development of human capital and export technical sophistication needs various joint efforts from economy,technology,geography and other areas.Finally,putting forward relevant recommendations after analysis:1.Develop education evenly to improve the human capital level.2.Strengthen cooperation between areas,and enhance the overall export technical sophistication level.3.Encourage enterprises to innovate technology,and increase government subsidies of science and technology.4.Promote research and development in industry,and improve the salary of high-tech research workers.
