Research On Inventory Decision Of Products Produced By Y Company

Yogurt is a kind of products with high substitutability,short life cycle and large fluctuations in demand,whose inventory decision should be based on the product chain.It is rare to employ fully inventory decisions on this product from product chain,although specific problems of inventory decisions for relevant products have been researched.In addition,with the improvement of economic living standards,the concept of food consumption has changed greatly,paying more attention to healthy diet,and yogurt has become one of the best choice for dietary consumption.In this paper,taking the inventory decision on products in Y company,the inventory decision of the product with high substitutability and short life cycle was researched.Firstly,yogurt and their characteristics,product supply chain were introduced combining with the knowledge of yogurt,and the situation of product inventory decision in Y company was analyzed to clear the issue in making inventory decision.According to the relevant knowledge of inventory decision-making,the paper analyzes the product inventory and product inventory decision objectives,process and cost structure,making clear to the status of inventory decision on products in Y company.In the light of internal data and organization structure of Y company,it is pointed out that the big deviation of demand forecast and higher inventory cost are the main issues in the inventory decision of Y company.Secondly,this dissertation analyzes the its characteristics of Y's products demand in condition that the historical sales data is regarded as product demand,which serve to build the forecasting model of product demand and make demand forecasting.Combining the existing theory and the latest development of product demand forecasting,three forecasting of products demand models commonly used are chosen as the model of Y's product demand forecasting.Based on historical sales data of products as modeling samples,and the last two data as test samples,the forecasting model of products demand were built and compared,pointing out that there are different prediction accuracy in different time on demand forecasting of Y's products.Thirdly,after describing the problem of inventory decision on products in Y company,inventory decision model of Y'products were built under the illumination of the model of stochastic inventory decision and the forecast demand of Y's products.Then,solving the model determine the replenishment of Y's product inventory.Considering the effect of the shelf life of the products and the need of the convertion of the product replenishment into raw milk,each order of the original milk is obtained by using the linear programming.Lastly,according to the three stages in product inventory decision,some suggestions are put forward referring to the factors influencing the results,which may provide some reference for product inventory decision and development of other similar companies or related companies.
