Today,the incentive has been the focus of academic researches,how to motivate employees to maximize the work enthusiasm,improve employee performance,it is not only the focus of attention,but also the enterprise management personnel problems to be solved.The new generation of employees has become the main force of the society,because of the different age has different people,it is different between people and people's needs,the new generation of employees is also so.Therefore,enterprises need to truly understand their personality traits and psychological needs,to develop a more scientific incentive policy to retain them,arouse their working enthusiasm,so as to improve the performance.Effective internal motivation can improve employee performance.The new generation of employees as the research object in the paper takes,and probes into the influence of intrinsic motivation on performance and its mechanism.Firstly,by reading the relevant literature,defines the relevant concept and dimensions of intrinsic motivation,engagement and performance;secondly,combing and review of the literature based on the proposed hypothesis of the relationship between the three variables,and construct a theoretical model;finally,through questionnaire design,distribution and use of data processing SPSS19.0 and AMOS17.0 software to verify the research hypothesis,according to the relevant assumptions model and draws the corresponding conclusion.Specifically,the main conclusions are as follows:(1)The intrinsic motivation of the new generation employees has a positive effect on performance.Among them,job autonomy,higher level support,promotion opportunities,people-organizational values match all play a positive effect on task performance and contextual performance;(2)The new generation employees of intrinsic motivation has a positive effect on employee engagement.Among them,work autonomy,supervisor support,promotion,and organization value all play a positive effect on job involvement,organizational identification,work value;(3)The engagement of new generation employees has positive effects on performance.Among them,job involvement,organizational identification and work value all play a positive role in task performance and contextual performance;(4)The engagement of new generation employees plays an intermediary role between motivation and performance.Among them,organizational identification and work value play an intermediary role between the four dimensions of intrinsic motivation(job autonomy,supervisor support,promotion,and people-organizational values match)and the two dimensions of performance(task performance and contextual performance);the job involvement do not play an intermediary role between people-organizational values match and the two dimensions of performance(task performance and contextual performance).
