With the popularization of smart mobile devices and the continuous development of communication technology, the mobile data traffic generated by various apps has increased explosively. In the meantime, users have higher requirements for quality of service(Qo S).Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)uses Wireless Access Network(RAN)to provide storage and computing power near the side of users.Caching popular contents on the MEC server in advance, not only reduces the delay of the return transmission from the core network, but also effectively improves the experience of users. Most of the recent researches on content caching are limited to unicast for content delivery. When a large number of users send the same request to a popular content in a short time,it will lead to waste of bandwidth and low utilization of network resources. In the context of the continuous development of 5G,the unicast delivery can no longer meet the requirements for low delay and large connection. This paper proposes a multicast-based content caching scheme to solve numerous requests for popular contents.Based on the multi-cell architecture and multicast delivery, the multicast-based cooperative caching of multi-cell can be realized. The optimization objective is to minimize the total latency of content delivery and to improve the utilization of network resources. We describe the multi-cell caching deployment problem as 0-1 integer programming problem, and formulate the corresponding deployment scheme, including using ARIMA model to predict the popularity of file, selecting the candidate of source node, using Improved Ant Colony Optimization Multicast(IACOM)algorithm to construct multicast tree, and reducing total delay greedily without station capacity violation. The simulation experiment and analysis show that our Cooperative Multicast&Popularity-Aware Caching(CMPAC)algorithm reduces delivery delay to improve the Qo S and leads to the efficient use of limited network resources which responses to the new demand of low delay, high bandwidth and large connection for 5G.
