China's concept of "national cultural soft power" has been proposed for a long time since the report of the 17 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In recent years, related work on "cultural self-confidence" has also become one of the government's priorities. As an important part of "national soft power",Chinese official media accounts on foreign social networks are very meaningful at the moment.Media influence refers to the ability of the media to act on users through the release and dissemination of information. The current research methods of media influence are based on traditional media influence theory, social network theory and bibliometric theory. This article uses the official Twitter API and crawler technology to collect the PD China Twitter account-related data and research on the dissemination mechanism and user behavior. It uses the number of fans to evaluate the breadth of the dissemination, and uses the p index to deal with the intensity of user behavior change.Taking into account the attenuation and accumulation of influence, the introduction of a decay mechanism and the establishment of a multiplicative model of the influence evaluation of Chinese overseas social network media.Through analysis,it was found that the tweets of China Daily 's Twitter account were evenly distributed in all time periods. For a single day,the time of tweets 'release had little effect on its influence;fans of China Daily 's Twitter account were switching There are no obvious preferences in the two behaviors of push and like, which can basically be considered independent;the model index can reduce the impact of the number of followers, and has better discrimination compared with other existing indicators, and the model verification shows that The growing influence of Chinese media on overseas social networks reflects the gradual results of the construction of "cultural soft power".
