A Research On Students' Borrowing Behavior In Local University Library Based On Data Mining

With the development of modern information technology,the library management system has accumulated a large number of student circulation data,which contain a large number of useful information.The use of data mining technology can mine valuable information from massive data,obtain students' borrowing behavior,and provide a basis for librarians to provide personalized services,improve students' satisfaction and effectively play the role of the library.Based on the above background,we use data mining technology to study the summary and overview of readers' borrowing behavior.The circulation data of erdos institute of applied technology were mined from the perspective of clustering and correlation analysis.From the Angle of clustering,the number of books borrowed by all readers and the number of books borrowed by readers were clustered.From the point of view of relevance analysis,this paper analyzes the borrowing characteristics of all readers,borrowing characteristics based on clustering,and the relationship between departments and bibliographies.The research innovation points of this paper can be divided into two points: first,scholars at home and abroad have done a lot of research on the borrowing behavior of university readers,and achieved a lot of results,but there is little research on the borrowing behavior of local university students.Second,the data of the previous book management system is mainly used in the simple statistics,the innovation of this paper is to use the data mining technology of correlation analysis and cluster analysis to study the library reader's borrowing behavior.The main conclusions of this study can be summarized into three points: first,the overall utilization rate of local colleges and universities is not high,and the number of readers borrowing is small,resulting in the waste of resources in the library.Secondly,the educational background of readers will also have an impact on the reading trend of readers,and most readers will borrow books related to their educational background.Thirdly,when readers borrow professional books,they will also borrow books of literature,economy,politics and language,which meet the requirements of students' all-round development.Based on the above conclusions,three Suggestions are given to improve the service quality of readers.First,libraries need to increase the strength of reading promotion.To provide readers with a comfortable,pleasant,relaxed,scientific reading environment;To improve the comprehensive quality of librarians;Strengthen propaganda efforts;We will strengthen the development of electronic reading services.Second,in the development of collection resources,we should focus on the construction of books with a large number of needs to meet the needs of more readers.Third,timely elimination of old resources,reasonable shelving the whole shelf,in order to facilitate readers to borrow.
