With the rapid development of digital multimedia and computer network,the replication,storage and dissemination of digital multimedia have been widely used,such as text,audio,image and video.This brings great convenience to people's daily life,work and study.However,technology is a double-edged sword.It has brought some problems while providing convenience,such as privacy leakage,information tampering and copyright infringement.In order to better solve the above problems,researchers have proposed reversible data hiding(RDH)algorithm.When the secret data is embedded into the original signal by the sender,it will not cause serious distortion of the original signal.For the receiver,it can not only extract the secret data accurately but also reconstruct the original signal losslessly.According to different application scenarios,this thesis proposes and designs two kinds of reversible data hiding algorithms based on digital images: plaintext reversible data hiding and reversible data hiding in encrypted images.The main innovations are as follows:1.A Strategy of Distinguishing Texture Feature for Reversible Data Hiding Based on Histogram ShiftingAiming at the stego image quality problems of existing plaintext reversible information hiding algorithms,this thesis proposes a strategy of distinguishing texture feature for plaintext reversible data hiding based on histogram shifting.Firstly,the original image is divided into equal-sized blocks.Then the entropy,energy,contrast,homogeneity and mean square error of each block are calculated respectively,and set the corresponding weights for the above five parameters respectively.Finally,according to the embedding capacity,set the appropriate threshold T to select relatively smooth blocks for data embedding.Experimental results show that the proposed method can improve the quality of the stego image with the same embedding capacity.2.Reversible Data Hiding in Encrypted Images Based on Pixel Prediction and Bit-plane CompressionTo make full use of the correlation of the adjacent pixels,this thesis proposes a reversible data hiding in encrypted images scheme based on pixel prediction and bit-plane compression.Firstly,the original image is divided into equal-sized blocks and the prediction error of the original image is calculated by the median edge detection.Then,the 8 bit-planes of prediction error are executed rearrangement and bit-stream compression,respectively.Finally,the image after vacating room is encrypted by a stream cipher.Experimental results show that the embedding capacity of this method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods.This thesis summarizes the research work on plaintext reversible data hiding and ciphertext reversible data hiding.Experimental results show that the proposed method is feasible in improving image quality and embedding capacity.Therefore,the research results of this thesis will promote the development of reversible data hiding to a certain extent.
