Different from traditional active radar, passive radar detects and locates targets by receiving and analyzing unknown electromagnetic signals from outside so that it has good invisibility and low cost. However, due to low transmission power and unknown signal form of non-cooperative illuminators of opportunity(IO),the detection performance of single-base passive radar is difficult to be guaranteed.PMR(Passive Multistatic Radar),which be composed of multiple spatially separated radar and data fusion centers, can improve the detection performance and reduce the effects of complex environment by the increase of space diversity gain.According to the spatial position of the passive radar,PMR can locate the target in real time.In this paper, the target detection problem of multi-base passive radar network will be studied as follows:1.In the case of passive radar has multiple RC(Reference Channel, direct signal of different IOs can be distinguished)and one SC(Surveillance Channel,The target echo is composed of the scattered signals from different IOs),this paper provides the CFAR(constant false alarm rate)detector of the single passive radar with array antenna based on the fact of.The simulation results show that the performance of the detector is consistent with the theory.2.This paper divides different detection algorithm of PMR into three types,DBF(Detection before Fusion),FBD(Fusion before Detection)and Centralized Detection, according to the degree of centralization. We provide several detector forms for each type of fusion and propose a new detector based on received signal fusion.3.This paper study a TBD(Track before Detection)algorithm for PMR based on PF(Particle Filter)that the weight of particle is determined by false alarm cost function.Simulation results show that the method has good tracking performance.
