Research And Design Of Ability Assessment System For Older Adults

China is now faced with the fact that the population base of the elderly is large and the speed of aging is fast.However the source of old-age service is limited.In order to make full use of limited resources and to provide old-age service for the elderly,professional assessment tools shall be made.They can assess the ability of elderly people and divide the ranks of the elderly scientifically.Combined with the industry standard of ministry of civil affairs “Ability Assessment for Older Adults”(MZ/T 039-2013),an ability assessment system is researched and designed.It includes an assessment model,an assessment tool and an assessment platform.GA-BP neural network and the advanced information technology are used in this paper.And the system is proved to be unified,normative,intelligent,and longlasting.The details of the work are as follows:Firstly,in accordance with the industry standard of“Ability Assessment for Older Adults”,the methods of determining the ability rank are modified using GA-BP neural network.Meanwhile,a GA-BP neural network ability assessment model for the elderly is established.The GA-BP neural network is trained in the MATLAB with the help of the assessment data.And test results show that the assessment model is of exceptional reliability based on genetic algorithm optimize BP neural network.After the hybrid programming of MATLAB and Java,the well-trained assessment model is used in the assessment system.It determines the ability rank of the elderly.Secondly,the ability assessment scale is electronized and an Android client for the ability assessment system is established.For the elderly who needs the aged service,their ability shall be assessed by professional staff comprehensively using Android client as the assessment tool.Primary level of ability for the elderly will be determined according to the GA-BP neural network ability assessment model.Considering their basic information,a final rank of the ability assessment will come into being.Finally,an ability assessment platform is established in according to the ability assessment information from the Android client.A list display mode is used in the platform to achieve unified management and maintenance of both assessment information and user information.In order to make it easier for management personnel to carry out data analysis,a chart display mode is used for the statistics of the assessment information.It will also provide the data support for the rational distribution of the old-age resources and the effective and healthy development of the aged service industry.
