Terahertz technology can be widely used in radar,imaging,remote sensing and homeland security,as well as high security data communication and transmission.Therefore,the study of terahertz wave has great application value to national economy and national security.In data communication,terahertz band has a wide band,which can achieve high data transmission.In the aspect of radar,phased array radar has the advantages of more flexible wave scanning,tracking more targets and better anti-jamming performance.According to the requirements of terahertz radar,imaging,communication and other applications,it is our research goal to explore the phase-shifting mechanism and law of terahertz wave by using new structure and to obtain high-performance and low-cost terahertz phase shifter.The purpose of this project is to reduce the insertion loss of terahertz phase shifter system,to achieve large angle phase shifting,and to obtain a new design of terahertz phase shifter.A new terahertz phase shifter based on waveguide loaded planar microstructure is studied by using transmission line theory and simulation software.In this paper,the theoretical basis and phase-shifting characteristics of three different waveguide structures are analyzed.The main work is as follows:?1?The exploration of phase shifter based on microstrip structure.The load line phase shifter model is selected,the microstrip parallel transmission line is used for phase shifting,and the pin diode is used for on-line control.Through simulation,six different phase-shifting states are obtained in the range of 220GHz to 270GHz,and the maximum phase-shifting is 62°at 230GHz?2?The exploration of phase shifter based on coplanar waveguide structure.According to the theory of transmission line,the coplanar waveguide parallel open circuit transmission line is used for phase shift,and pin diode is used for control.In the frequency range of 220-240GHz,the insertion loss of S21>-4dB is simulated.At the same time,the maximum phase-shifting range is 90°at 230GHz,and 32 different phase-shifting states are controlled by 5-bit electricity.Furthermore,the influence of several main structural parameters of coplanar waveguide on the phase-shifting characteristics is discussed,which lays a foundation for further study of THz coplanar waveguide phase shifter.?3?Based on the research of"I"type planar microstructure phase shifter.The phase-shifting characteristics of I-shaped planar micro structure phase shifter loaded with rectangular waveguide are analyzed.The phase-shifting is realized in the range of225GHz-235GHz with 12 bit adjustable electronic control.The insertion loss is greater than-3dB,and the maximum phase-shifting range near 230GHz frequency is 360°.
