With the rapid development of semi-conductor integrated circuit,more and more components can be integrated in a single chip.To address the issues in terms of design cost,cycle and risk,the IP(Intellectual Property)reuse technique is widely used in various semiconductor company.It brings great convenience to designer,but poses threat on the security of IP core,so IP copyright protection and secure authentication mechanism become research hotspots.At present,many IP copyright protection techniques have been proposed,including IP watermarking.Based on the design flow of VLSI(Very Large Scale Integration),the researchers have proposed the IP watermarking algorithms at various design level by considering the performance in resource overhead,watermark concealment and detection.This work mainly concentrates on the robustness,security and real-time detection of IP watermark.The main contribution is illustrated as follows.(1)To address the issues of watermark authentication after attacks,this work proposed an error control model based IP watermarking method.The thought of secret sharing is used to realize reliable authentication of IP watermark.The impaired watermark can restore complete copyright information,realizing better robustness.The binary image is used as the copyright information of IP designer.Due to the fault-tolerance characteristic,the critical information can be recognized in impaired image.The watermark shadow is used in authentication to avoid the leakage of sensitive information.It effectively improves the security of IP watermark.The experiment results show that the proposed method has low resource overhead and high robustness against attacks.(2)Existing blind IP watermark detection method requires multiple rounds to realize watermark authentication.The complex scrambling in each round causes large cost of computation and communication,which is not suitable for real-time authentication.To address this issue,a double chaotic mapping model based blind IP watermark detection method is proposed in this work.In this method,the prover is unnecessary to provide the scrambling parameters for the verifier in the authentication of IP validity.The number of query rounds is a constant.The experiment result shows the costs of computation and communication are greatly reduced.Besides,the efficiency and real-time performance in blind watermark detection are encouraging.In summary,this work uses the theories in information security to address the issues in integrated circuit copyright protection,including security,robustness and real-time detection.The research can protect the copyright of semi-conduct IP design,and ensure the sound development of integrated circuits.It has good practical significance.
