Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)is an active earth observation system that can be installed on spacecraft,satellite,aircraft and other flight platforms,can be capable of all-weather,all-day observation of the ground and has a certain ground penetration capability.It has the unique advantages that other remote sensing methods do not have,and has a wide range of applications in environmental monitoring,resource detection,and space exploration.Research on imaging processing of synthetic aperture radar has achieved certain results.This paper research the target recognition of synthetic aperture radar.The traditional SAR image target recognition processing method relies on digital processing technology.However,with the development of Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR),the image information obtained by Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)is usually very large,and digital processing technology will encounter bottlenecks in real-time processing.How to quickly identify and process the massive information captured by synthetic aperture radar in the shortest time and discover the target in time has become the focus of research in this field.Due to the insufficiency of traditional methods,people began to turn to optical processing methods to seek new technical approaches.In the earlier optical processing methods,the filter was generated by optical film,which lacks flexibility and does not have the ability to be coded and reconstructed.The appearance of spatial light modulators solves this problem well.Spatial light modulator has the ability to encode and reconstruct.In recent years,with the rapid development of spatial light modulators,optical processing methods have been re-emphasized by researchers.Optical pattern recognition based on optical Fourier transform has the advantages of high-speed precision,parallel processing,etc.And it is not affected by the input image size compared to the traditional digital pattern recognition method.Based on the above reasons,we designed and developed two optical SAR target recognition systems.One is an optical target recognition system based on matched filtering(VLC),and the other is an optical target recognition system based on joint transformation.The optical target recognition system based on matched filtering is simple in principle,and has the advantages of high-speed parallel processing,high output signal-to-noise ratio and precise positioning.In the optical target recognition system based on joint transformation,the target image and the reference image input to the input plane after they are superimposed.So it is not necessary to make a matched filter in advance,which is suitable for real-time mode operation,and because there is no precise positioning of the matched filter,the system is built simply.In both systems,we load image information through a spatial light modulator,which can modulate the image information onto the wavefront of the laser and load it into the optical system through this way.In both systems,the Fourier transform property of the Fourier transform lens is used to perform Fourier transform or inverse Fourier transform on the input information.Finally,we use camera to capture the final output.In this paper,we use the optical principle to design two sets of optical target recognition systems.Finally,we built two sets of optical target recognition systems and verify the feasibility of the two sets of optical target systems using MSTAR data.
