Abstract/Summary:
With the continuous development of the Internet,users have more and more demand for network service quality.Content delivery network can reduce the delay of users in obtaining content to some extent.However,the cache server of the traditional content delivery network is integrated in the hardware device,so it cannot flexibly deploy or migrate in the face of sudden traffic,and the cost of server update is also high.For the above reasons,Smart Integration Identifier Networking decoups "service space" and "network space" horizontally to realize the separation of "control management" and "function execution" and facilitate the dynamic adjustment of service and network as needed.Through the combination of Content Delivery Network(CDN)and virtualization technology,the flexible deployment and migration of virtual CDN are realized.However,how to deploy and migrate virtual CDN according to the whole network resources and user requests has become an important issue that virtual CDN needs to consider.This paper designed and implemented a virtual CDN deployment and migration mechanism based on Smart Integration Identifier Networking.It has the following three characteristics :(1)An integrated system of SDN(Software Defined Network)and NFV(Network Functions Virtualization);(2)Avoid overload of edge node servers;(3)Effectively guarantee the service quality of users.The specific work of this paper includes the following aspects:Firstly,a virtual CDN system framework is designed and implemented.The system integrates SDN and NFV,introduces the container virtualization mechanism,and at the same time can automatically sense the topology of the edge computing nodes,the whole network resource information(memory,CPU cores and storage capacity),and dynamically deploy and migrate the virtual CDN according to the user's request.The framework of virtual CDN system includes container virtualization module of CDN,network integration module,service management module,node information collection module,virtualization CDN decision module,deployment and migration issuing module and routing redirection module.Among them,the virtual CDN decision module is the core,which combines the resource information of the whole network and user requests to make the deployment and migration decision,and sends it to the deployment and migration issuing module..Secondly,a scheduling mechanism combining virtual CDN deployment andmigration is designed and implemented to solve the scheduling problem of virtual CDN.Virtual CDN migration can avoid server overload,while deployment can reduce service degradation or interruption caused by migration.Combining the two considerations for orchestration can avoid server overload on edge nodes and guarantee the quality of user service.Finally,a test environment based on Kubernetes was built,and the feasibility and superiority of the deployment and migration mechanism of virtual CDN were verified through functional test and performance test.The experimental results show that the virtual CDN deployment and migration mechanism proposed in this paper can dynamically deploy and migrate virtual CDN based on the whole network resources on demand,which can effectively avoid the load on nodes and guarantee the quality of user service.
