Combinatory Categorial Grammar(CCG)is an extension of basic Categorial Grammar(CG).It has function combination and type raising.The generation ability is moderately sensitive to the context.The slashes in the categories have multiple modes.The fine control of the combination of categories is on the vocabulary side.The grammatical rules are common across languages.The semantics of categories can be interpreted as pure model theory objects or as lambda-abstract predicate-argument structure.Category binding rules imply few and simple semantic operations on several functions.Derived categories and their ?-terms have nothing to do with the derivation process.The homomorphic calculus of category and semantic interpretation makes the process of CCG analysis also the process of solving the predicate-argument structure.The nesting of the predicate-argument structure forms a so-called syntactic tree,which is essentially a semantic representation of a sentence.CCG is becoming one of the ideal tools for natural language syntactic and semantic formalization.English is that the words have no twists and turns when their parts of speech are converted.The lack of measures to deal with such conversions makes CCG not directly applicable to Chinese syntactic and semantic analysis.It is possible to obtain a CCG suitable for Chinese syntax by analyzing the general nesting phenomenon of Chinese phrases and introducing the noun-verb-adjective consecutive inclusive theory of Mr.Shen Jiazhen.This dissertation completed the following works:(1)When the grammatical nature of a phrase changes,the syntactic category of the phrase should be changed.This conversion depends on the structural needs of the larger phrase that the phrase enters as a whole.To explain this phenomenon,CCG should add corresponding conversion rules.From the perspective of set theory,Chinese has noun-verb-adjective inclusion,which can be used to summarize the transitional nesting between basic syntactic structures.On the premise that every part of speech has its fixed syntactic function,the category conversion rules corresponding to the parts of speech-changed structural nesting were derived to form a CCG with a category conversion mechanism.Examples show that this phrase-based formal grammar is expected to explain various parts of speech-changed structural nesting in Chinese syntax.(2)The CCG parsing software,including category representation,rule representation,syntax analysis,input and output modules,was developed,which can verify the design of Chinese CCG,and evaluate the parsing performance,which is an important basis for building parsing tree bases in the future.
