Nowadays,Service robots have been gradually applied in various fields.As an artificial intelligence for human beings,it should be applied in the education industry.Service robots could play as an assistant in education.The design and functional development of a prototype lab service robot are presented in this thesis.There are four parts in this thesis:(1)The architecture design and key function development of the laboratory assistant service robot are studied,and the corresponding system functions,hardware structure and cooperation mechanism are designed;(2)The models of the service and environment are established.Then,by comparing the construction of maps,the grid map is selected.For the synchronous location and map construction,the relatively mature Cartographer-SLAM is introduced and the experiment is realized.The real scene map of the room environment has been verified in autonomous navigation.(3)The environmental safety detection subsystem of the service robot is designed to realize the danger discrimination and alarm function;(4)The voice interaction system,speech recognition module and voice playback module based on embedded platform and human body triggering mechanism are designed.The voice interaction function combining recognition and playback is realized.The technical idea of speech recognition rate improvement is analyzed and discussed.Finally,performed a sub-module experiment on the algorithm,considered the feasibility and effectiveness,selected the appropriate algorithm,and then debugged online to realize an assistant robot that can provide services in teaching.After testing and verification,the design requirements can be basically met,and the robot assistant can realize the indoor maps,detection and simple voice interaction.
