| More and more people use mobile devices to record,manage and visualize their daily life data.At present,relevant research focuses on the visualization of quantitative statistical data to provide users with self-monitoring,and design strategies are also based on how to introduce user characteristics to establish personalized information use needs and provide personal data by minimizing the information burden.This simplifies the process of self-monitoring,thereby enhancing the user's self-awareness.This type of research has also become an important part of human-computer interaction research in recent years,and has produced a lot of literature and design examples.Then,it also brings double problems.First,from the user's perspective,relevant literature and market research indicate that users are not willing to spend a lot of time managing and understanding their data.Some reports pointed out that the collection of data is too heavy and no return is seen,and one third of people give up after 6 months of use,which shows that they may not have formed a strong motivation and clear use goals when using the data;Or when the user obtains the daily value of the data through data tracking,and also loses the motivation to use after satisfying such information needs,it means that the data has not inspired enough value to maintain sustainable use behavior.Secondly,from a design point of view,most of the information services provided by the program are collected according to the data generation related format.These statistical data are often very abstract,and users need to spend a lot of time to understand the meaning behind these data.Therefore,this article is based on how to help users enhance understanding,promote recall and reflection based on visual narrative methods,that is,cluster information,text,images,and symbols into meaningful content memory units,and introduce event elements to extract event elements Perform narrative visualization.The subject of this paper comes from "Social Design and Derivative Service Innovation in the Internet+ Era"(16DG63),a research project of the Ministry of Culture,Ministry of Culture,National Arts and Science Planning Program,and "Scenario-based Service Design Study of Personal Data on Mobile Internet"(17YJCZH275),a generalproject of the Ministry of Education,Humanities and Social Sciences Research.This paper studies the design method of personal information in daily life events through the timeline.First,based on the literature method,this article sorts out the related event classification,modeling and labeling research,and analyzes the related theory of event-centric timing information design;second,the design case of the visual information of the existing Web and mobile timing information Analyzed and summarized the different attributes and characteristics of data representation,content layout,time scale,etc.in event time series visualization.On the dual argumentation of theory and case analysis,two narrative visualization methods are summarized: the plot summary based on the timeline and the content block based on the theme layout.By emphasizing the visual technology and visual function of the storyline,encoding these four elements and conducting visual cues,visual combination of information and interaction design research,a design strategy for four timeline narratives is proposed: creating content blocks for the story,capturing Playback related to operation key nodes,linear timeline transition,and time context.Finally,through the home-school co-education learning record "Growing Vis" growth tree design case,verified its feasibility.The contribution of this article is to use the event-centered design method to understand user use,management,and visualization of data.This information design method makes the timing relationship of event management clear.Through the user-centered design process,it is developed and proposed A rich and intuitive timeline interface design form is provided for designers to provide reference in such design practice. |
